Radiohead is an English rock band from Abingdon, Oxfordshire, formed in 1985. The band consists of Thom Yorke (vocals, guitar, piano), Jonny Greenwood (lead guitar, keyboards, other instruments), Colin Greenwood (bass), Phil Selway (drums), and Ed O'Brien (guitar). They have worked with producer Nigel Godrich and cover artist Stanley Donwood since 1994. After signing to EMI in 1991, Radiohead released their debut single "Creep" in 1992. It became a worldwide hit after the release of their debut album, Pablo Honey (1993). Their popularity and critical standing rose in the United Kingdom with the release of their second album, The Bends (1995). Radiohead's third album, OK Computer (1997), propelled them to international fame; it topped the UK Albums Chart and reached number three on the US Billboard 200, eventually becoming certified triple platinum in the UK and double platinum in the US. Its success brought worldwide attention to the influence of the band's music. Kid A (2000) and Amnesiac (2001) marked an evolution in Radiohead's musical style, as the group incorporated experimental electronic music, krautrock and jazz influences into their sound. Hail to the Thief (2003), a mix of guitar-driven rock and electronica, was their sixth album. In 2006, they toured the world in support of the album. In addition to headlining major festivals such as Glastonbury, Lollapalooza and Coachella, Radiohead have headlined two major benefit concerts: Live 8 in 2005 and Concert for New York City in 2001. They were ranked 73rd on Rolling Stone magazine's list of "The Greatest Artists of All Time". In 2012, they were nominated for four Grammy Awards winning Best Alternative Music Album for The King of Limbs (2011). In 2010, they released their ninth album, The King of Limbs. As of October 2016, Radiohead have sold more than 30 million albums worldwide.
