Serena Valentino is a teenage author from Texas, who has written eight books. Her first book was a teen novel titled, "This Could Be Anybody." It was about a girl named Rae who is just starting high school and has no idea what to expect. She is nervous about meeting new people, but meets a girl named Penny who helps her make new friends. They soon become best friends and Rae learns that life is not as bad as she thought. The second book she wrote was, "The Unknowns." It was about two teens who meet at a party and they realize they are two completely different people but they have things in common. They soon fall in love and their relationship changes everything for them. Serena's third book was, "The Last Day." It was about a group of teens who partied too hard the night before and wake up to find out the day has already started. They must figure out what happened in time for them to go back to the way it was before. Serena's fourth book was, "All I Want For Christmas." It was about a high schooler named Olivia who wants to get away from her mom's overbearing ways and suddenly finds herself on a cruise ship on Christmas Eve. Olivia has to team up with the other passengers to save Christmas before it's too late. Serena's fifth book was the first of her young adult series called, "The Way it Works." It was about a girl named Claire living with her alcoholic mom in the sticks and how she learns to take charge of her life by starting a radio show where she interviews people struggling with addiction or bullying. Serena's sixth book was, "If You Were Here." It is about Camille and Kenzie, two girls living in different parts of the world being brought together by an earthquake that devastates their lives. Serena's seventh book is another young adult novel called, "The Long Way Home." It tells the story of Caley and her brother Alec who are watching their mom struggle with addiction when they decide to run away from home. They soon learn that their mom could have actually died from an overdose that night but they have no way of knowing which outcome will happen until they find out exactly what happened that night during their escape from home.
