I was afraid of getting this laptop based on a few bad reviews, but I'm glad I got it anyway. For the $210 price mark, this laptop gave me exactly what I was looking for: a distraction free laptop for the sole purpose of writing. All my docs are in Google cloud, so the Chromebook was a perfect match for what I needed. The keyboard is easy to use and does not hurt my fingers after long use. The laptop is light weight and has a good sized screen (I think I got the 14 inch one, but there is an 11.5 inch version). The screen is a little pixelated, but I am ok with this bc 'sharp' HD stuff hurts my eyes after long bouts of editing. If you want to do a bunch of fancy stuff, I would probably spend more money on a different laptop that can accommodate all of your needs -- but for me, this Chromebook was able to hit all my needs for a low price point. Prior to this I only used Apple products so I was conditioned to overpay for features I didn't need. This laptop is a smart choice if you're using it for similar circumstances to me.

When I first received the laptop, I was so happy. I love the touch screen effect but, what takes my joy away is that the laptop shuts off and restarts by itself all the time. It’s been like 4 times today that it has done that, and it’s entirely frustrating. That needs some serious improving ASAP. *****UPDATE ****** After this review, I was connected to the tech support who was so patient & worked me through the settings... My laptop was initially on the sleep mode, so it shuts down periodically! But after it was set to active, its been working so well! Hopefully nothing happens again! Oh! Am in love with this laptop! Excellent little Chromebook I bought it as a gift and the child loved it.

Disclaimer: This is a CHROMEBOOK and does not function like a regular laptop. This may be a widely known fact but I did not realize it until receiving this that this laptop does not use Windows and does not function like regular Mac/Windows computers - Chromebook uses its own IOS. Because of this, you cannot use any Microsoft, cannot install a majority of programs (as they are programmed from Mac/PCs and the software is not set up for a Chromebook), and are unable to install apps like iTunes. Outside of this, the computer functions spectacularly! The touchscreen is responsive, the operating system is fast, and the battery is great. If you need a laptop for browsing, emails, travelling this is a great option for a great price but I would just keep in mind that this is more like a tablet with a keyboard then a laptop.

I have been using this same laptop for two years. My mom got one and she loves it! I also got my Gramma one and my friend one. I love this laptop. I don't think I'll buy any other kind. So if you're looking for a laptop to do the basics like watching tv and movies and playing games from play store like Roblox, sims and others then get it. If your looking for a laptop with a good camera don't get this it's really pixelated. I use it mainly for watching free movie websites and Netflix, Amazon prime, Hulu and much more. Get it you won't regret it!

Do not like doing personal stuff on work laptop these days. Companies are too invasive. This was a great, inexpensive solution. Decent speed--not stunning but perfectly fine for browsing, writing, etc.

I am having problems with the fact that the keyboard doesn't light up so it's difficult to see what you are typing. I don't like the fact that it's run off of Google but perhaps I just need to get used to the machine. I would not put this in a case and carry it around because it's flimsy compared to a regular laptop. I will not purchase another one, will stick to regular laptop in the future.

Edit: I saw a review below and want to add, our internet has also been very weird since we started using this chromebook. I don't know what's wrong but internet is very unstable and zoom calls are a nightmare on this computer. All the other devices work absolutely fine. Chromebooks are a scam. I bought this one when I was rushed for time and didn't do enough research, didn't ask anyone. This model in particular is a sheer waste of money. It is nothing more than a glorified Chrome browser. It is painful to do anything useful because of the stupid google apps needed. You cannot use any MS-Office products - forget about editing, you can't even view them properly. Google Slides is a joke. Zoom has no features. You are better off calling into a Zoom meeting from a Landline than from this stinking pile of keys+screen+camera. The keyboard, I got used to pretty quick but if you are older and don't like change stay away from the aggravation. Oh last but not the least - the apps from your phone don't work on the chromebook. You have to hunt for sorry excuses of apps that look scammy on something called the "Web Store". 99% of the stuff on Web Store looks like a virus/malware, The 1% that looks legit has bad reviews. I am stuck with this piece of trash because I didn't do any due diligence. Just buy a windows laptop of any brand than this waste of earth's resources.
