My cats are mesmerized by this toy!
The media could not be loaded. My cats are mesmerized by this Vava interactive cat toy! We’ve only had it a few hours and their curiosity is piqued. I imagine they will only engage with this toy more and more in the days to come. I really like the clean design of this toy, too. It looks very high-tech. It’s also simple to operate. Just put the batteries (included) in, push the button on top, and watch your cat(s) try and figure it out. It’s nice that this device has multiple settings, and that it comes with an extra feather, too. One minor gripe about the packaging: the package says “powered by AA battery” (singular), when in fact it takes 4 AA batteries. But since batteries come with the toy, I’ll let it slide. I am, however, curious to see how long the batteries last in this thing. Time will tell.

A Most Interesting Cat Toy
This is the strangest cat toy I think I've ever seen. I've had it now for well over a week and have been setting it on the floor and turning it on. It has several different settings but I usually use the first one. It's kind of noisy and from a distance it sounds like a printer that is printing, but it's not real loud. It took probably almost an entire week before one of my cats got brave enough to try to catch the feathers that come randomly out one of the several ports going around the outside of this toy. A green light turns on (it has different colored lights for different settings) and the feathers quickly go out and back in. My cat, for days would just sit there and watch it, studying it. Then one evening I heard this clatter-bang and went to find my cat tossing this toy in the air. It's a substantial toy so I was surprised she could do that. But she'd only toss it when it turned itself off. She likes to sit and watch it. It wasn't until yesterday that I saw her trying to catch the feathers and she did and then tossed the toy in the air by the feathers. I think she likes it. The other cat will only watch her litter mate play with it. It must be fairly durable because it has taken a beating so far. It comes with some cheap batteries so I don't know how long they will last, but we've turned it on a lot. It will run for about 8 minutes then turn itself off. One of my kids will go and press the start button on it when she hears the cat tossing it around. I like this toy but at first I thought it was going to be a bust.

Flawed design
We have a similar product called the Catty Whack that my younger cat likes to play with. I got this one because it randomly turns on during the day to help keep her stimulated during the times people are at work or school unfortunately it has some issues.1. It's loud, louder even than our similar toy and that one is already bordering on too loud for the cats.2. No chirping noise. I guess that is a positive for some humans as the chirping can be annoying but it generates less interest from our cat.3. Day/night sensor thinks that day begins around 4:30/5am. Not sure why since it is definitely not light out.4. And the most important flaw, in my opinion, it only stays on for 1 minute! If you manually turn it on it stays on for 8 minutes but the random timer only works for 1 minute. Just enough time for the cat to come over and see what's going on before it turns off again. After re-reading the description I do see where it says it only stays on for 1 minute during automatic activation but I would not have gotten it had I seen that.Bottom line: it's more expensive than our similar product and the one feature that would've made it worth the extra expense is not designed well

Interesting
This review is for the Interactive Cat Toys, VAVA Pet Cat Toys Three Modes Day&Night Play Automatic Randomly Stimulates Cat's Senses Easy Replace Feather(Included Battery&Spare Feather)One cat loves it and the other cat could care less. But wait. The one that could care less loves watching the other cat play with it. So in the end all is well.Easy to turn on and off with the button on top.Its a fun little toy. We leave it sitting on our side table next to the couch. It looks like some smart home gadget. Alexa turn on cat annoyance and taunt unit. Now that would be cool. Until then we are forced to endure the agony of pushing the button on top. But you know its coming

Broke after a very short time
My cat LOVED this toy, but, alas, it broke and I don't know why. After a very limited use, it stopped (just like that!) going fast to ONLY going slow and stopping after about a minute. My poor cat keeps toying at it to move, and it is frustrating him and me, because I have to constantly push the button for it to go, and then it stops. Batteries aren't the problem because I put new ones in twice and it still wouldn't work. This was a gift, so my poor sister paid $29.99 for a defective product and I don't have the box anymore, or any order information. So save the order info to return because it may be you next time.

Maybe my cats are just too dumb for this smart cat toy?
So I get that cats are weird and take a while to adjust to new things, but I've given it about a week and this was just a bust for all four of my cats. I was really disappointed because with two dogs, I'm limited on what toys to get for the cats that they can't destroy-and this would have been perfect. From what I can tell, there are a few major shortcomings. One is that the play times are ridiculously long and boring. Upon turning it on, it goes for 8 minutes and then quits. There is a setting where it comes on automatically-once every 4 hours-during the day. So, basically once *maybe* twice during the workday. There's no motion sensing, no hit to play, or anything similar. Basically, the cats are at the mercy of a timer or my pressing the button. The other thing is just that it goes so long. It almost seems like the cats get just as bored of the prolonged noisy feather popping out as I do.The plus side is that I can see where maybe some younger cats (my youngest is about 4) being more excited to play with this, but for my cats, it was just a noisy curiosity that they sniffed and eventually walked away from. Oh, and it comes with a spare feather.

Great Fun!
Our cats were totally bemused by this! As the feather pops out randomly, they couldn't attack it! However it kept them occupied watching it!
