great for a DIY Apple MagSafe car charger
Since the iPhone 12 came out, I have spent quite a lot of time looking, unsuccessfully, for MagSafe-compatible car mounts. I wanted the simplicity of a magnetic connection between my phone and the mount using the MagSafe charging puck to charge (by way of a USB-C PD car charger). The Obaska car mount was not only one of the cheapest options, it was probably the best for my purposes. There are two ways to use this, and I illustrated both in the attached pictures. First, without the MagSafe puck, I attached my iPhone 12 Mini directly to the Obaska mount. Because the 12 has magnets in the phone itself, it sticks pretty well to the mount. It may fall off on bumpy terrain, but it did fine while driving. (Note that I have no case on the phone.) I did not try it with larger iPhones or phones with a case. If you don't have that model of phone, Obaska includes magnetic pieces to attach to your phone or phone case -- I did not test that because that was not why I got this mount.Secondly, if you're an iPhone 12 user and want to be able to magnetically mount your phone and charge -- for me, this was the way to go. The MagSafe charging puck attaches (magnetically, obviously) fairly firmly to the Obaska mount, and the iPhone attaches to the MagSafe charging puck. This combination actually felt even more secure to me than simply attaching my phone, magnetically, directly to the Obaska mount. Again, it could probably shake off with enough force, but my case-less 12 Mini held on well. I have not yet tried it with bigger iPhone 12 models or with the added weight of a case (which would have to either be MagSafe compatible or have Obaska's magnet attached). For my use case, this was the best option by far, since it let me attach the mount to the dashboard without blocking the windshield or a vent. Some other options charged by Qi, not Apple's (slightly) faster MagSafe speed -- and I don't know whether other magnetic chargers would hold the phone up on their own, not having tried them. I don't believe any other option had a MagSafe charger built in -- some required you to buy it separately anyway, then included a slot in the mount to attach it.If anyone is looking for a way to mount your iPhone 12 by magnet directly to the car mount -- or as a bonus, charge wirelessly with MagSafe, this is worth a shot, especially since it's only $10.

Great Hold but Doesn't Work with New PopSocket PopTops
I bought this mount based off of good reviews and the ease of how it would hold a phone. It has a very strong magnet and was easy to install. Would have given 4.5 stars if allowed, and my downgrade is purely based on the adhesion of the metal plate, not the mount itself. The metal plate adhesion might be better on a different surface (i.e. very smooth phone case) rather than what I stuck it to, but I felt this was a valid comment to make for future buyers. Upon buying this mount and a new phone case with an integrated PopSocket, I quickly learned that PopSockets has changed their design and the new "PopTops" do not allow for the metal plates to be stuck inside. (If you have an old PopSocket, you'll probably know what I'm talking about.) This forced me to adhere one of the metal plates to the face of my PopTop. This held well for about a month or two, and then the adhesive failed, causing my phone to fall. Because of where I have the mount installed, this also caused my phone to hit my car keys, turning off my car while I was driving (luckily in not-busy parking lots). The mount itself has had no major issues outside of the ball joint becoming a little more loose in hot summer temperatures. If it weren't for the disks not working with my PopTop, I'd be much happier. I will say that the PopTop has a slight texture to it, so that could be part of the adhesion issue, but I didn't expect it to react so poorly, especially for 3M adhesive. So basically, buy this if you don't plan to use with a new PopSocket because it really works great!

Great product and customer service!
After doing some research, I decided to chose this one for my Iphone mini. Here is what I've learn from this purchase:01. It sticks really well. Just make sure you clean and dry the (smooth) surface where you are going to place it, and press it down for a few seconds.02. Put the metal sticker on the phone, not inside the phone. I thought the magnet would be powerful enough if I place metal sticker inside of my clear iphone case, but it was not. Once I put the metal sticker outside the phone, it works wonderfully.03. Great customer service. The first item was loose, so the phone moved a lot while driving. I reached out to the customer service and they sent me a replacement right away. Now it works great ! So definitely reach out them if you have any hiccup/problem!Overall, I recommend the product and the seller!

A good choice
I have been using this magnetic mount for a few weeks and so far it does the job. It is good the adhesive part of the mount can rotate either horizontally or vertically in order to best stick to the dash of the vehicle. I like the silver trim as it matches the trim on the my car. In order to continue to use wireless charging I had to place the metal plate on the bottom 1/3 of my phone, but I can continue to charge on my wireless charger. Magnetic seems strong, works through my phone case. Holds strong, but there is some bounce with the vehicle motion and seems to be the adjustable mount moving. This may be due to the phone not being centered on the mount because of the placement of the magnet that was moved to allow for wireless charging.

Works great but
Would be nice if it came with extra metal disks for when people change to a new phone or to a new case

Adhesive
The adhesive on this product was absolutely strong, so strong that when taking it off, my dash almost came with it! Unfortunately, now that I’ve removed it, it will not stick again. I do not blame the product. It just so happens that my vehicle doesn’t really have a good place to put it and when I went to try and place it elsewhere, the above mentioned happened. I do though highly highly recommend this product. The magnets held very well (IPhone 12Pro Max) and never had an issue with it. I wish all products came with this kind of quality.
