Helped Strengthen My Hand
I fell and broke a finger in my hand. After being in a cast for several weeks, my physical therapist recommended I get this putty to strengthen my hand. It has helped with my recovery.

Great for skin pickers or someone who needs something to do with their hands.
I purchased this therapy putty for my girlfriend who has been looking for a solution to stop skin and hair picking, and so far she is loving it. The Soft-Medium resistance is very good, if maybe just a tad firmer than she would like. It definitely does soften up as you play with it and it gets warm, but it goes right back to the resistance you expect from letting it sit and cool down. The only negative of this product, is that if you let it get on clothes or any cloth for that matter, you will not be getting it out. Tried Ice, melting, but nothing is helping to remove it from a pair of jeans that she accidentally let it get on. Other than that, exactly as advertised and quite a good product.

Versatile and long-lasting
I am a school-based occupational therapist and use this putty ALL the time. It's great for fine motor exercise (i hide marbles in it for kids to dig out), sensory input (tactile and proprioceptive), and imaginative play (i use 1-inch dinosaurs and the kids like to bury them in the putty or make dinosaur footprints). One container lasts me an entire school year. It stays clean and never dries out. It is latex free. Do not drop it on the floor or let kids smash it in clothing because it will get stuck and/or pick up yucky stuff from the floor. If some does drop on the carpet, i use a small ball of it to help me pick up what fell. I only give it 4 stars because the lid isn't very tight and once or twice it has opened in my bag.

If anything like the yellow XX soft it should be great.
Haven’t tried yet but sure it will be ok. Started using the XX soft first for weeks and definitely saw an improvement in flexibility and strength. Glad I read many reviews about the product that helped me make the right decision for my needs. There is no stickiness, putty does return to original flat shape of plastic container each time. It's more than what I wanted to spend but it's worth it.

Red is pretty darned stiff for "Soft"
Otherwise, it works as described. I keep it in its little tub when not in use.

have weak hand weak . I thought red would soft enough not so think need tan . xx soft . red it hard its work out . keeping one open package . not sticky won't stick to hands . no smell . nice container put in not in use . 5 star all way

Great product - Thera-Flex Therapy Putty - 4 oz - Red - Medium Resistance
The medium soft has a perfect strength for me to squish, and after frequently used for a couple of months my hands got much stronger without any injuries. I have regular sized hands for women and I feel that the 4 oz is just right amount to work on in my hands. Also, I noticed that after few months use the putty got harder, but it will be turned soft again after few minutes squish. Overall, it is a great product and I highly recommend it.
