Best tongs for the money anywhere!
I've used various tongs over the years for logging. Most are the "bent hex steel" type that you see for $20-30. Those come off the logs easily and don't grab small or super large logs well. These have nice rotating sharpened points that really dig into any sized log. As with most tongs these can still slip off but usually not while you're pulling the log. I am able to attach these to my loader bucket, drive up to a log, drop the loader and tongs around a log and just lift and it grabs and moves the logs just fine...never getting off the machine! What a time saver. I highly suggest these for a homeowner or logger with equipment that can lift or pull logs.

Piece of chinese junk that need to be welded and Factory knows it!
I purchased a set of your 25" tongs to drag wood. They workwonderful on straight drags. But it seems that on curves or rough terrain Ilost the points in water and mud. Granted I was pulling the largest 24"logs with the 25' log tongs that I bought. It seems that the snap rigs musthave broke or snapped and the points snapped off and went off into the wildblue yonder. I owned these tongs a week now. What must I do? Send thetongs back to Amazon or purchase a new set of tongs? Now I am a country boyand I can survive. But(Shirley), my wife, says I abused them. I say, butsurely, I think they just fell off and the darned things will show up whenthe spring rains show up and the mud and water and debri (spelling)? goesaway. But I just can't wait that long to finish getting firewood forwinter.......................Their Reply>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Hi Tom,It sounds like you did make could use of the tongs while you had them. Wedo have replacement teeth you can purchase if you would like? We also dohave the washers and clips as well.ThanksTyler WoldenBAC IndustriesSO , they feel their product did not fail and that I was too rough on them. They wanted 28.00 which they said was cheaper than any one else for new widgets. Guess what>???? They were 19.99 from Amazon. Imagine that. Now I may not be the most educated man. But I am sure not gonna be taken by some educated man up in Minn. who thinks just cause i'm a farm boy im gonna fall for some beurocratic (spelling) BS>The product has its faults and they should admit it. many others have found the sme problem with the product. But seems that back when, they helped the man out and gave him a new set on points. I on the other hand got a set of emails with BS and a line of well, 28.00, and we'll ship you a new set of pointy thingers. Thanks, but no thanks. I sent off my 20.00 and ill weld em up and make em better.Read toothless wonders review also.!!! They wouldn't even reply to him! Just goes to show how the item needs to be improved on and they won't even acknowledge it does. They won't even back up their product any more!! 11/20/2013

Works as designed, good value for the money.
The media could not be loaded. Early review... 1 month use. Max is about 21-22” logs at 10 1/2’, or <20” in 12 1/2’ or 25’ lengths. Fairly flat ground, low speeds, for only 100 yards. Total moved about 50 logs. Cant say about bigger, longer. So far, so good. The tips are holding fine, and the whole assembly spins/rotates as designed. I saw others reviews, and so far, so good.

Great value
I needed lifting tongs but those that are rated for lifting are so expensive that I bought two of the Timber Tuff 25" and am using both at the same time to lift logs. Using two keeps the log from swinging and I am pretty sure I am staying well below the rating of the tongs. Tongs are so much better than trying to wrap chains under logs. I am not lifting very far off the ground if any lawyers are reading this. So far the tongs show no signs of bending and I have lifted some pretty big logs with my 60hp tractor. I didn't give them 5 stars because the rust that is showing where the paint has chipped off makes me think the metal is not very high grade but I have definitely got my money's worth out of them after a summer of sometimes heavy use and I recommend them. But trees, chains, and tractors are all tricky so I encourage everyone to take your time and be careful.

Log Pulling Monster
I've pulled several sizable chunks of oak and hickory up to the house from a good distance. It's made my little kubota a full on log skidder. Has really upped my smoker wood gathering game.

skidding tongs
The first time I used this the cir clips came off and the point fell off. They hardly put any grove for the clips to hold, I didn't think they would last long. I had to weld them on. I think a little better engineering is needed here. Other wise they work OK.

Great product
I purchased 6mos. ago. Use attached to backhoe bucket to lift 3ft. log sections to put on pallets for banding and moving to storage area. These tongs work very well.Open easily. Very sharp points so very little effort to attach or detach logs. Very well made, strong and well curved to fit nicely over logs. No complaints. Great product at a reasonable price.

Horrible design on a great concept.
Tongs broke the first time I used them. After skidding 4-5 small trees (6-8" at the trunk) approximately 15-20 feet long it broke. If you are skidding in any type of uneven terrain with any debris on the ground the snap rings will come off. I found the snap ring the first time, on the first log, and managed to get it back together. On fifth log the snap ring and washer came off and I couldn't find them. It also bent one of the teeth so that it was unusable. Great concept of having replaceable teeth, just a poor design and not well thought out given the application. When I contacted Timber Tuff they made out like it was the first they'd heard of it. I responded to their initial email from my web response try and find out if they would replace the parts that came off or were broken. It has been almost a month and they have not responded. If you get these, plan on removing the snap rings and welding the teeth on if you want a product with consistent dependability. Everything else on the tongs seems to be solid.
