First off, THIS IS NOT A TOY, but I had to give a rating or Amazon would not accept this review. IT IS A 30 PAGE HARDCOVER BOOK. Secondly, even though this text may be aimed at young people, anyone who desires a quick review of some important events in world history would benefit from this short 30 page volume. I really like the way this text is organized. It gives you a short introduction and than moves to the subjects covered. Each section begins by using a question and answer format which is a great way to learn the material. The subjects covered are as follows:The Renaissance, Discovery of New Lands, The British Empire, The Industrial Revolution, Scientific Revolution, The American Revolution and Civil War, The French Revolution, Napoleonic Wars, The World Wars, The World after World War 11, the Computer Revolution and the New Millenium-21st Century. There are numerous photos in this book which makes the subject material come alive.In conclusion, if you are seeking a quick review of some of the important events in world history you should check out this book; however, if you desire a more in depth study of world history, you should investigate other history books.Rating: 4 Stars.
