Ruby Chin Strap, Large

The fit is rather tight, but it still isn't strong enough to keep my jaw closed. I have found that first aide paper tape in a V shape over the edges of your lips actually work far better. And cheaper too! ( this is also compared to three years of using a high-end CPAP machine. I gave that up too because the tape just works better)

The chin strip pictured is not the same as I received. The strip I got has velcro closures for adjusting and the straps from the actual chin area to the straps on your head are narrow and tend to stretch out quicker. I wish I could find the original Avalon Air strap I ordered a couple of years ago ....this is an inferior replacement design to that previous chin strap.

I have tried other chin straps but this is the best I've come across. I ordered a large because my head usually is too big for hats. The headgear for my CPAP is a medium but the large chin strap is fine.I like the design that is adjustable "heightwise" and "widthwise". I'm able to get a comfortable fit.So much better than the chin straps I've tried that are a single strap or a single strap with an added velcro strap in the back.

I like this strap and it's ease of use. The chin area is too wide though and it cuts into the bottom lip and since there is no way to adjust it, that's just how it fits me. Maybe my head is just shaped weird, who knows? I try putting it where I want it and it just slides back to where it wants to be.

I have tried most of the CPAP chin straps offered by Amazon. Of all that I have tried, this one has worked the best for me. That is not to say that it has been 100% effective keeping my mouth shut, but it has worked the best for me. Plus it has been the most comfortable for me.One important note is that my teeth did not have the best alignment. While wearing this, my teeth have shifted significantly.

I thought this would work well, but found that the construction was cheap with stitching at the chin using a stiff thread that extended beyond the edge and dug into my skin. Edge of strap in front of ear was also poorly padded and dug into my skin. Not using it.

What is LARGE? There is no sizing chart. It is all guess work. Comfort is a matter of minuet adjustment. Without any adjustment abilities, it is just trouble. My purchase was a mistake. Aside from the fact that the edges are rather sharp and stitching abrasive, I would give it a -5 stars if I could.

I have a large head and this is a bit tight for me. However, there is a slight adjustment to the velcro. I tried stretching the strap manually and after about a week or two it seems to fit better. Nice price and is durable after using every night for the past month.
