Satin Ice Fondant for Cake Decorating, White (2 Pound)

This was my first time using fondant and I’m so happy with how it went. I don’t have anything to compare it to but I thought this product was really easy to work with and looks great. The package was well sealed and the fondant was not too hard when I started kneading it. It became really pliable after working with it. I used the entire two pound package on this cake for reference on how much you need. It also tastes really good!

The only premade fondant I will EVER use! Great texture, good flavor, came sealed in bucket - nice & soft!!

I’m very happy with the Satin Ice Fondant for Cake Decorating (Blue, 5 lb). The color is vibrant and consistent right out of the package, which saved me time from having to mix or adjust shades. The fondant is soft, smooth, and easy to knead and roll without cracking or tearing. It drapes beautifully over cakes and creates clean edges, making it perfect for both beginners and experienced decorators. The taste is pleasant, not overly sweet and it holds up well in different conditions without drying out too quickly.

I got this fondant for my brother's wedding. I won't be using it until this weekend, so the only things I can comment on right now are the taste and the color and texture. First off, right out of the bucket, this fondant was very stretchy and easy to work with, I pulled out a chunk just to see out it worked, before I ordered more. I found it very nice, and I'm just beginning to work with fondant. I was very concerned with the fact that it was being delivered on a 90 degree day, but it stayed gummy and workable and didn't melt or stick to anything. The color was gorgeous. I was a little worried about it leaving a blue or green color residue or not quite being black, but it's a great color and didn't bleed everywhere. Lastly, the taste, I tried it and I have to say this is some of the best tasting fondant. I liked it so much, that I ordered the white and I plan on making the flowers out of it, because I know people will love them. *UPDATE* Worked very well. I made many flowers and other decorations for the cake with this. Everyone thought it tasted great and looked wonderful. My only complaint is that it didn't dry as hard as other products I have used, so I had to be very careful when moving them around as they easily lost shape or fell apart. I'm not sure if this was because of the fondant or because of the heat, even though i made sure they were in a cool, dry place. My other issues is that no matter what I tried, it was very sticky and stuck to the mat that I was rolling it out on. Once I let it sit out for 15min or so, it got much easier to work with and I was able to actually roll and cut ribbons without them breaking or sticking. Overall, I would buy this again, just takes a little bit of getting used to.

Fresh, soft, perfect for fondant work. This tub looks small when it comes in but the fondant went a long way and I had plenty left over for a few project. It’s a play doh consistency in the can, and it took color very well and rolled out nicely.

I absolutely love working with Satin Ice fondant! It’s smooth, easy to roll, and covers cakes beautifully without cracking. The texture is flexible but still holds its shape perfectly for decorations. What I enjoy the most is the clean taste—it’s not overly sweet like other brands. Definitely my go-to fondant for both professional cakes and creative projects at home. Highly recommend!

I don’t even want to leave a review after what happened with this fondant over the weekend. It was by far, the worst experience. I have ben making fondant birthday cakes for 15 years and have never had this happen. I was making a cake for 50+ baby shower. The fondant out of the container seemed off, it wasn’t the usual quality and no matter how much grease, corn starch or glycerin I used, it would tear and fall apart. After two hours, I got it on the cake horribly. It was falling off the sides. I was so upset I put it away to take a break. When I pulled it back out to see how I could salvage the cake, it completely came apart. The pic shows the aftermath. It was so hard it crumbled apart all over my counter and floor. I had to run to Walmart for their fondant and my son drive me to the shower while I fixed the cake. Thank god for Walmart to save the day but this was an absolute waste of money and I was a huge satin fan.
