GREAT TASTE, DELIGHTFUL AROMA
BIgelow Constant Comment Tea helped me to transition from coffee to black tea. While both coffee and black teas contain caffeine, the caffeine in tea acts differently in the body than it does in coffee. The reason behind this is that black teas have additional ingredients that calm one's nerves yet at the same time provide an energy lift through the caffeine. Coffee, on the other hand, does not contain these calming ingredients, but instead causes a jiggery feeling to the nervous system. Also, the energy lift obtained from coffee drops suddenly shortly after consuming, whereas the energy lift in tea lasts longer and then drops very slowly. Caffeinated teas also contain health benefits not found in coffee according to some doctors and nutritionists. However, making the transition from coffee to tea, based on these factors, was not easy for me. The reason for this was that I Ioved the taste of coffee and disliked the taste of black teas - that is until I tried BIgelow's Constant Comment. This was a tea that I actually liked the taste of and still enjoy its flavor and aroma and drink it often. Today, having transitioned from coffee to tea, I am a tea connoisseur of all black teas. But, further transitioning did not occur until I learned to select and brew black tea after the fashion of the British. HOW one brews their tea, therefore, is just as important as selecting a good quality tea. Following are some of the things that I learned from them: 1. Start with a good quality tea. Choose organic teas whenever possible. Tea and coffee plants are among the most heavily sprayed crops. And, brewing such teas releases the poisons directly into your cup of tea - not good. Nevertheless, I still drink tea that is not organic from time to time; however, I do limit the amount that I drink. 2. Choose a cup made of glass or ceramic. Metal cups and styrofoam cups can negatively effect the taste of tea or coffee. 3. Choose a cup that does not have stains or scratches. Bacteria can breed in dirty or damaged cups. This is not only unhealthy but can affect the taste of tea. 4. Black teas should be brewed in boiling water in order to bring out the full flavor of the tea. 5. Never use tap water or distilled water. Chlorine from tap water will give tea a bad taste and distilled water lacks oxygen and will cause the tea to taste flat. 6. Never use reboiled water. Reboiling removes too much oxygen from the water; only boil enough water for one serving per cup. 7. Let the tea steep in the cup for a full 5 minutes. This will give the tea a rich, full bodied flavor and will release all of the nutrients of the black tea. How strong or weak you make your tea should not determined by how long you steep your tea; instead, this should be controlled by how much water you pour into your cup. 8. Never brew your cup of tea for more than five minutes. Over brewing will cause your tea to become bitter. 9. Dipping the tea bag several times before removing the tea bag helps release the full flavor of the tea. However, squeezing the tea bag releases additional tannins into the tea causing the tea to taste bitter. So, enjoy your cup of BIgelow Constant Comment tea brewed and served in the style of the British

Great tea at a great value!
My favorite tea with just the right amount of spice and taste. Great brand. But you already know that or you wouldn’t be in the market for 6 boxes. Important notes: No staple on the tag for worry free microwaving/reheating. This came with 6 boxes of 20 teabags and each teabag inside each box is individually sealed, so they will stay fresh! I am set for a long time at a great price! And despite what this tea’s name suggests, I am still able to end my comment here. ;-)

Bigelow Tea Constant Comment Caffeinated Black Tea Bags
I first ran across this very fine tea all the way back in 1979 and have enjoyed it ever since. I've learned to buy in bulk when I can find this tea on the grocery shelf as sometimes years will go by before I spot it again. The last time I bought this from a grocery store was about 5 years ago and I bought the entire stock on the shelf! Now I know that I can buy this tea here on Amazon, I will buy 'in bulk as well. This time a pack of 40 bags/ 6 boxes. As I mentioned in a phone call years ago to a Bigelow Rep, whoever it was that paired orange rind with sweet spice and cloves was genius - truly inspired! (especially considering I love clove!) The flavour and fragrance of the spices are wonderful! I'm a 47 year fan of this tea!

A MUST HAVE FOR TEA ADDICTS WORLDWIDE!!
Constant Comment is the tea that launched my love of Bigelow Tea into the stratosphere. It is a wonderfully delicious orange-and-spice tea that helped me begin my lifelong love of tea journey. Constant Comment is another tea with excellent flavor, whether served hot or iced. Black teas are my favorite, but my three favorite flavored teas are all made by Bigelow (Constant Comment, Perfectly Mint (formerly Plantation Mint), and Raspberry Royale). I highly recommend these teas to tea worshippers worldwide. I miss the Lemon Spice Black Tea that Stash once made, but unfortunately, it disappeared around the year 2000. Lemon Lift (which tastes like a lemon Lifesaver) does not come close. Lemon Spice was similar to Constant Comment, if it were lemon-flavored.

Arrived as anticipated in excellent condition..
Easy to use tea bags; good for cold or hot tea. Upon brewing, it tastes good (I do use a bit of honey to sweeten whether I’m making a cup of hot tea or a pitcher of iced tea) and it holds well in the refrigerator for 4-6 days. I think it’s a good value for the money, I’m not sure of the (scientific) caffeine content, calming effect or health benefits however I do enjoy drinking it and it tastes good! I drunk it as ‘iced tea’, however it can be made as ‘iced tea’ however I’m sure it’d be as tasty made that way too.

Constant Comment is my favorite tea. It has such a delicious aroma that I even enjoy the smell of it when I open the box to take a teabag out. By buying it in quantity, I got a great deal on six boxes.

The last time I had a cup of Constant Comment was 30 years ago. I loved it when I was younger then it became hard to find in the stores and I forgot about it. For whatever reason, I suddenly had a craving and found it here. It's just as wonderful as I remembered. The flavours are mainly cloves and orange peel, like a good mulling spice. It's especially delicious this time of year.

A friend recently brought me some Constant Comment tea, which I drank with pleasure many years ago in the US. It's hard to source in Europe since the company does not ship outside North America. Please to find a source.
