Must have for your golf bag if your shoes have removable spikes.
I honestly didn't expect much from a $10 wrench. But this tool works wonderfully! Before i used a pair of needle nose pliers to remove and replace spikes in my golf shoes. Now that I've started to develop arthritis in my hands, that doesn't work so well anymore, plus the needle nose would tear up the cleats so they couldn't be reused in a pinch. So i bought this tool. The ease of it is impressive. Took me less than 5 minutes to remove and replace all spikes in both shoes. I keep wondering why i waited so long to buy one of these. As one of the other reviewers said, when putting the spikes in the shoes, turn them until they click, then keep turning to the 2nd click to make sure they're properly secured. Also, the attachments are not very easy to get into the tool. Compared to putting a screwdriver bit into a typical screwdriver, it's about 5 times as hard. I had to force my attachments in the tool a few times before they wore down enough they're fairly easy to insert and remove now.

Made the Job VERY Easy
Wow! I've only used this with the 8-prong Q-Lok style bit. But it was to replace some very old (never changed) and totally flattened cleats. It made simple work of getting the old cleats out and the new ones installed. It fact, it was so easy (and quick!), I was wondering if the cleats would stay in place during use. However, I've golfed with them once already and everything is working great. Just one note--I noticed another review saying there should be a ball-bearing added so the bit is locked into the shaft and not fall out when turned upside down. Well, on mine anyway, there is a ball-bearing for just that purpose and it works as intended: The bit did not fall out regardless of position. Lastly--at least with the Q-Lok bit--the torque/leverage to remove the old "cemented in place" cleats was almost effortless. IMO, a great product and it looks to be of a quality level that will last.

This tool is awesome
First I tried getting my old soft spikes off of my ecco golf shoes with a two pronged spike tool, all that did was rip center of the spike. Then I watched youtube and people were saying to drill 2 screws into the spike and then twist it off with a long nosed plier. That didn't seem like a good idea, my eccos were expensive and I didn't want to accidentally drill into the sole of the shoe and never be able to install another spike. Then I found this on Amazon, so I gave it a try. It work great. The soft spikes twist right off this tool. Easy off, easy on. It's a keeper.

Great Tool - No Carry Bag
This is an awesome spike removal tool! You know when your spikes are totally worn and filled with dirt mud and grass. The time you end up scraping your knuckles using that tool with two little prongs on it — yes, everyone does! Love this tool because it comes with three removal heads and one is aggressive enough to just dig in a twist without needing the two little prongs. Perfect! Here’s why the 4 Stars not 5? One would have thought that a nice little carry bag with a big old CHAMP logo in it would be included — but the marketing folks either had to make a price point or shanked one into the woods because it’s not in the kit. Or maybe, it’s a ploy, since I’m sure to lose an attachment and have to buy another. Wait, I’ll just do them a solid and whip out a Sharpie to write CHAMP MAX PRO on my Ziploc!

Gets The Job Done
Big help in getting out the spikes. The basic one I had couldn't get the job done.

Slam Dunk Spike Remover
An efficient tool I've employed on multiple occasions. I've used all three attachments for removal and installation of golf shoe spikes. All actions were met with great success. Based on my experiences, I will offer a few tips. - If you're met with difficulty in removing two-prong spikes (e.g. prongs keep popping out, spike not turning) ensure at least 1/2 (if not more) of the prongs total length is down in the spike. I discovered that underneath the old spikes, there was embedded dirt and such. In order to clear the debris from the spikes, I took a 5/64 or 3/32 drill bit and cleaned the holes where the prongs are inserted. Be careful to not go too deep and of course, wear proper safety attire. Once the slots were clean the tool's prongs (once inserted into the spike) were barely visible and viola', the spike(s) came right out. - Once the spikes are removed, I clean the areas with a wire brush and then place a dab of graphite (or similar) lubricant in the shoe's thread receptacle. Subsequent removals are a snap.

Removes the most difficult cleats.
This really does the job if you have very difficult spikes to remove this is the answer. Mine were so badly frozen in that I used the bits in a drill to loosen them. They were steel screw in cleats not plastic quick release. For any reasonable cleats the tool would be perfect as is. I highly recommend them it saved me a lot of frustration.

This is it
This is it. This wrench gripped my old spikes and got them out cleanly. I could feel the good amount of heft to the solidly constructed metal, and knew this would do the job. I had spikes break and fall apart when using a different wrench and this took them right out too.

The right tool for the job. My old spikes were more than due for replacement. Some were very hard to get off. But with this tool, I could put all the pressure required to get them off. The ratchet is very nice! I would buy it again.

Good ratcheting wrench, comes with the basic 2-prong and also 2 other adapters that were designed for older spikes. They do help as sometimes the spikes are so stuck, the holes get stripped. Good wrench, and a must if you’re replacing your own spikes.
