Remington T Studio Pearl Ceramic Professional Styling Elliptical Wand, Large, Pink

Seriously, this is the BEST styling tool I've bought in a loooooong time!!! I have all kinds of wands, irons, wavers, and curlers (including the Remington Pearl curling wand which is similar to this, except it's round and tapers from wide to narrow) and this elliptical wand outshines them all. I'm always in the market for a new styling tool that promises gorgeous results. Let's be honest...most of them end up at the back of my cabinet and rarely see the light of day. This wand however, sits on my counter because I use it so much.I like my other Remington Pearl wand (the round tapered one) because every time I used it it left my hair shiny and really curly, but it's kind of a pain to use because the hair slips down the wand so easily. Even though I like that one a lot, it still only gave me ringlets. I've been growing out my stacked A line bob and curls end up making me look like a demented orphan Annie. It's reaaaally difficult to curl all the outgrown layers and I've been looking for something that would really deliver on producing gorgeous waves.Then, I came across this miraculous thing. Elliptical?! Whaaaat? I had to order.My wand came in a weird white box, completely void of the manufacturer packaging....It was weird and off-putting. Unlike some reviewers though I did receive the heat protecting glove (which looks and feels like one of those body scrubbing gloves. Also, for the record, that glove fits really tight and is uncomfortable to use and I have rather small hands and wrists).Regardless of the lack of packaging, the wand works just fine. It has a lot of heat settings which is handy for those that have rather dry and damaged hair, or for making loose waves.I'm not gonna lie, it takes some practice and getting use to. The first try you might think its a dud tool and that you wasted your money, but with patience and practice you will soon change your mind.Never have I ever (drink) used a tool that creates such beautiful waves as this wand does. It's ridiculous. My hair comes out shiny, and red carpet worthy. No joke.Due to the fact the glove is super uncomfortable and bulky to use, I do recommend using it. I burned my hand pretty badly on my birthday because I was in a rush and it is still in the process of healing (and that was 2 weeks ago). The heat on this baby does not mess around.Like I said, it does get some getting use to and I recommend taking your time with it. Even with going slow and depending on your hair type and cut, I find that it takes less time to finish your whole head than it does with a curling iron or curling wand, and def produces better results than a multi-barreled waver (RIP Revlon triple barrel waver).Don't be alarmed by the weird packaging (btw Amazon, what's UP with that?!), try it out, practice using it, and I'm sure you'll love it as much as I have come to!!

I was in the market for a wand curling iron but stumbled upon this elliptical style wand before ordering the barrel version. GLAD I DID! I have quite wavy hair naturally. I never blow dry my hair and I sleep with product in it. Sometimes it causes the inner layers of my hair to go flat, or one side to go flat - understandable. Why didn't I buy this sooner! This creates perfectly soft, natural looking waves so freakin' easily. I've tried waving/curling the random straight pieces I've found day-to-day and I've waved/curled my entire head for fun. The results are great and they last without any product, it's amazing. I have normal hair thickness and I use it on the highest heat setting (410) for quicker results and 10 seconds works perfectly! The only reason why I don't give this 5 stars is because I wish it heated up a little bit faster :]If you're looking for a nice, quick and easy way to achieve natural looking waves - you can't go wrong with this $20 elliptical wand by Remington!

So, I just got this in the mail a few days ago and used it for the first time yesterday. I have long, thick, straight, textured, white girl hair that does NOT hold curls for more than a few hours (if I'm lucky). I used this yesterday morning before work to create awesome "mermaid" curls/waves. Aside from a heat protector, I didn't use any products. I was very pleased with how my hair turned out but was pessimistic about it holding up through my work day. Not only did the curls last all through my work day, but I slept on them and they are still hanging around this morning! I like that it comes with a full glove that can be worn on either hand (for doing the right and left sides of your hair). I have never used a "wand" before, I've always used the traditional curling irons with the clamp thingy. I thought this was very easy to use, I didn't need directions or anything, and it was much faster than the traditional curling irons. It only took about 30 seconds on each section of hair. Did all my hair in about 15 minutes, when it would take me about 30-45 minutes to do with a traditional iron. Amazing! Love it!

Well, there's a first time in everything, including an Amazon 1-star review. So here's my first 1-star review...I agree with another customer/reviewer:1) It did not come in original manufacturer box, instead, it came in an unsealed bubble envelope, inside an all-white-covered, plain-looking box. With it, there were packing slip, use & care guide, and a note explaining that this is an 'open box item' and why it is re-boxed, but NO GLOVE was found inside the box/wrapper! They advertised that it would come with a glove, but there's no glove at all.2) The product works fine, but does not give excellent result. It does get hot quickly, but the curls/waves did not last long. I could not make tighter curls or hold it closer because I did not have the glove, and I would not burn my fingers.Bottom line: I'm disappointed with the purchase. I'm considering to return it, if the seller does not respond to my inquiry about the missing glove.Plus, I did not expect this product to be an open box item, as the seller (BNH Trading) does not describe it here on Amazon!

Not bad, but not great either. It does make some beautiful waves but it doesn't smooth the hair very well, so if you're prone to frizziness or you live in a humid area, you're going to have some slightly frizzy waves. I do like the concept though, because as I said, what it makes is more waves rather than curls.

LOVE IT!! Another great wand from Remington. I have the .5 -1 inch wand and that is fantastic at creating rounded curls, This waver wand creates fabulous waves. Can get beachy waves to starlet waves. Super fast heat up and easy to twirl and go. I have fine, coloured, medium lenghth hair and the waves are beautiful and long lasting. I cannot recommend it enough. A must have for everyone who loves the look of waves.

I have no complaints about this product, but it doesn't do a much different job than the regular round curling iron.
