This works great. I have five monitors running off of this unit. Two set of monitors are using a splitter. One splitter works fine as it isn't that far. The second splitter I had to tie in a boosting unit because of how far it was. It would run one at the length just not two. I was please to see that this has power over ethernet so there is only one power adapter. The previous setup had me struggling to place adapters all over the place.

I use this to split an HDMI signal three ways to view and control a couple of remote TVs off one TIVO, along with a third TV local to the TIVO.In the past I had a four way HDMI splitter, two pairs of HDMI over Catx extenders (Transformer required for each of the units.) and separate sets of IR extenders. Total kludge. 8 boxes, 8 transformer plugs, and something always messed up.This product collapsed that mess into thee boxes and just one transformer to power it all. Wow! Imagine the pile of boxes, cables and transformers I had left over after replacing all that with this.Easy to install. Do note the dip switches on the box. Mine shipped set to support 720 stereo. It took a little experimenting to find the best 1080 setting to use for my tvs.

We are using this (or at least trying to) for CCTV to be on 8 screens. No cable is over 100'. Also no TV has a signal from the unit. The lights come on the receiver unit like its getting power but there is no data. The unit didn't have the manual in the box and if you look at the companies website there is no information (if you want a good laugh look at their "FAQ" section). We use these types of extenders all of the time for clients but this is the first and last time we will try this brand. After messing with the dip switches on the receiver side I got one of them to display video but it had bad pixels all over the image. The loop out at the unit looks fine. I suggest you look at the MANY other options on Amazon and avoid OREI ... If you look at the support page on their web site you will see that if there is an issue (like we have) they will want you to pay for shipping to and from them to look at the unit. They also charge a restocking fee if you return the unit. With support policies like this it is obvious that they do not stand behind the product they make and in turn I would not trust a company like this.

I used this product for my security cameras. I have dvr and I have 4 screens I broadcast to. Picture quality is way better than hdmi. I even attached an hdmi splitter on one of the receivers and it still works perfectly. So it goes like this, cat6 cable from transmitter to receiver, at the output of the receiver I attached an hdmi splitter witch then feeds 2 separate screens until I run more cat 6.
