TEMCo Float Switch for Sump Pump & Water Level Empty Function Control 13ft Cord 5 Year Warranty CN0360

I hooked this float up to my 1/4 hp Superior pump that pumps gray water out of 30 gallon trash can.Used it on and off over the coarse of 6 hrs or so. Works perfectly so far. The only thing you need to watch out for is that it does not get hung up on anything. Especially if you anchor it to a pump that will torque itself around every time it starts up. I was able to solve this by anchoring my pump with stainless chain and zip ties so it does not twist itself. Seems to be working. In other words you may have to get creative.

I have a very deep lift tank for my grey water which is pumped up and out to the leech field. Because of the difficulty lifting out my pump, I initially plugged in the Float Switch to my pump cable plug at the service and manually lifted it to empty my lift tank twice a day. Once I determined it worked well, I removed my pump and installed the switch. The switch worked well although I left the free end of the pig tail a little longer than desired so the tank filled a little more than I like before the switch activated the pump. It has been in use for 3 months now and working reliably for which I am grateful as we are in the minus 10 degree F range at present. I recommend this product based on its performance to-date. If it fails within its guarantee life of 5 years I will update my comment.

Requires quite a bit of space to operate. Not easy to use in a limited area. But once installed, it works well and reliably.

I tried this and was disappointed .seems the float either got too wrapped up in the cord or didn't shut off when it fell below my pump..returned it and bought a float valve type that is on a rod that works much better..
