RR930 Panasonic Microcassette Transcriber/Recorder

I've been using this model for over 20 years now so I have gone through a few. This one is very smooth and quiet when pressing the foot pedal or the buttons on the actual machine, my last one was very jerky and loud

Delivery was immediate. Quality of equipment met our expectations.

The package was very well packed and arrived safely. The transcription machine is exactly the same one that my office had, which I have used for 40 years! This one is in excellent condition, for a refurbished product, and is fully functional....at least for the one day that I have used it! So far, I am very pleased with this transcriber.

The price was pretty high for a refurbished machine. My concern is that I don't know how long it will last.

Ordered what I thought was a new machine, and I can't tell whether or not it is new, but it doesn't work. It doesn't play cassettes at all. The foot pedal doesn't work either. I tried my existing foot pedal with this machine also, but that didn't work either. The Panasonic does erase cassettes, which was the main reason I needed it, but I did think I'd also have a back-up machine in case something happens to the Sony (great machine--only drawback is that it doesn't erase) that I have now. I definitely wouldn't buy the Panasonic again!!

The Panasonic RR9930 microcassette transcriber/recorder is a wonderful office tool. When my previous machine began to have problems, after years and years of daily use, I was thrilled to find this exact replacement. It is wonderful having a fully-functional transcriber once again. The multiple functions are simple to use, and the headphones are comfortable for long hours of daily wear. This product has a long-life which makes it extremely affordable.

I bought this transcriber and it was delivered in 2 days! Unfortunately the foot pedal did not work. I contacted Discountjungle and they immediately sent a replacement. I am VERY impressed with the excellent Customer Service. All works great now. This is an excellent transcriber for the money and I am now back in business getting my work done. I would highly recommend purchasing this or any item from Discountjungle. Even if the price was higher I would look first to them for the quick delivery and fantastic Customer Service. You can't put a price tag on that! I gave 4 stars for the transcriber only because there are more expensive models with more whistles and bells. 5 stars for Customer Service!

I was happy to get a new unit as I understand Panasonic stopped making this model. This model has better clarity than most other comparable types of transcribers and it will transcribe cassettes that have broken plastic parts or wrinkled tapes 99% of the time when other brands of transcribes will not. I have several transcriptionists who work for me and they are often returning tapes that their machines will not play however the Panasonic RR-930 almost always plays, 99% of the time is able to play the tapes unless the tape is actually broken in two. I rarely have to return a tape for the doctor to re-dictate a report because of a faulty cassette or tape problem. I am sorry to hear that Panasonic is not making this model any longer as we do have several doctors here who have not gone the digital route and still prefer tapes.

As a medical transcriptionist, when my transcriber quits working I am out of a job. Believe it or not, there are still doctors out there who only dictate to tape. My doctor is one of them and when my machine quit I was panicked! Magma Group came to my rescue. I explained my predicament and they said they would help any way they could though as the transcriber originates in the USA the delivery was probably going to take 3 to 4 weeks. They kept me informed via email of the progress and actually managed to get it to me 2 weeks from my order date. I am so grateful and the machine looks and feels like new. Works like a charm! Defies logic that this machine was new. It appears to of been purchased at a garage sale. The foam on the headphones disintegrated and were dirty. The box was torn and it refused to play —-my secretary refused to use the machine.
