Great tv, current year model and same price or less then older year model televisions
A couple years ago we bought a panasonic Viera 3D LED/LCD TV 240Hz refresh rate and it has an amazing picture and it's still an amazing TV, so when the Samsung LED/LCD TV that we've had for seven years started failing and the picture went out I wanted our new TV to have the same specs and features and active 3D picture as our Panasonic Viera has that we bought a couple years ago. I spent a week researching and reading reviews on dozens of different LED TV's, the problem was that almost every TV I looked at were older 2010, 2011, 2012 year models but the proble was that they were still priced the same or higher then 2014/2015 models and I wanted a current model but there aren't many around that had everything I was looking for in the new TV, I guess most manufacturers are now more interested in curved or 4k TVs, neither of which I am interested in because 1080 LED TVs are plenty good for us.I was getting frustrated not being able to find a newer year model TV with the same features and specs as our viera 3D tv, I looked at the 2014 Samsung Series 7 3D LED/LCD 240Hz model and it was pretty much identical to our Panasonic Viera that we love so much, and it's a 2014/2015 year model so it's got all the newer technology and features and everything else, and newest Smart tv functions. Some of the things I was looking for in the new TV are that it has active 3D, 240Hz refresh rate, super thin, LED/LCD, wifi, and Smart functionality, and the Samsung H7150 has everything I was looking for and more. It also came with two free sets of Active 3D glasses, and to order more are only $15.00 to $20.00 whereas our active glasses for the Panasonic Viera TV were $50.00 to $100.00 each, and that's really nice since we need at least three or four pairs for the new tv, it's too bad our Viera tv glasses do not work with the Samsung H7150.I ordered the new tv from Amazon because I got priority overnight shipping for $16.00, I ordered it Friday morning and it came Saturday around noon, we unboxed it, assembled the stand and accessories and immediately replaced the old TV with it, and started the setup process which is fairly easy and took maybe ten minutes for the standard settings and then spent about an hour exploring all the features and functions and logging into our vod services and Internet accounts and all that stuff. The only down side to the TV is that it needs a special Wal mount adapter that has to be bought seperately before you can Wal mount it, we have a TV console with the electric lift that hides the TV when not in use and raises it up when watching tv but it uses the Wal moun holes on the TV to secure it to the lift so until we find and order the Wal mount adapter we have to just sit the TV on top of the door covering the hole the tv lowers down into the console. Other then that I found no shortcomings or things that I would deduct from the TV rating. We are very happy with the new LED 3D Smart TV, as much as our two years old Panasonic Viera, The new quad core on the H7150 makes the apps and video on demand services load a whole lot faster then the viera smart tv and they run smoother, another thing I had to have was active 3D instead of passive because the passive bothers our daughters eyes and gives her headaches and makes her dizzy, the active 3D gives a deeper 3D picture. The Samsung H7150 is rated on almost every site and review I read as the best 3D LED TV on the market today, and I couldn't agree more, it's got an amazing picture, great 3D effects, great sound and is only about an inch thin, it's also very light and easy to assemble and configure so if your looking for a current year model active 3D smart tv with 240Hz refresh rate then look no further this is a fantastic tv and we couldn't be more happy with it and we got it delivered the next day for only $16.00 thanks to our AMAZON prime membership, if we had to pay full price for overnight shipping elsewhere it would have cost me $150.00 or more for such a large and heavy item so our AMAZON prime membership has paid for itself many times over just on free or very cheap overnight shipping. I rated this tv with five stars because it's a great 3D tv, I cannot understand how 3D TVs that are older 2010-2012 models are still the same price or higher then the 2014 Samsund H7150 was and the hardware and software and everything is current newer technology instead of having three, four, or five year old technology it makes no sense that older TVs are as much or more then this tv but they are but for me I'd much rather have newer hardware and features then those other TVs have? Anyway it's a great tv and were exceptionally happy with itBC

1st Time LED TV buyer, overall--very satisfied. *8 Month Update*
*****ORIGINAL REVIEW*****I must preface this first with a somewhat embarrassing fact. In 2014 I still had a Sony Trinitron 36" CRT television that was heavily used daily. Finally came to grips with reality and figured that this television will outgrow my lifetime and will continue to operate long after I'm dead!? I did not want to burden my children with the logistics of moving/removing this behemoth of a TV!Anyways, I thought I'd put my 2 cents on this Samsung LED TV after spending about 2 weeks with it. As I mentioned before, I've spent 12+ years with a CRT TV so as far as image quality is concerned, I'm completely biased. Any newer modern TV for me will look absolutely great, no matter what! Image quality on this set is sharp, bright, and nicely vivid. There are some oddities with moving images that seem to produce a slight stutter, about maybe every half second or less. Doesn't really bother me now, but I do notice it. It does not occur all the time, very intermittent.I like this TV's styling too, very thin and nice modern stand.Originally, I had so much trouble using the TV's smart features, I thought I had a defective unit and was very close to returning the product. The first few days using the Smart Hub features and apps was a very unpleasant experience to say the least. The TV's Smart Hub was extremely lagging and slow, simple operations like turning the volume up or down would take about 1 to 2 minutes to to respond--(not making this up). Certain apps failed to stream or load all together, Amazon, Netflix, Vudu, pretty much everything I attempted to use was or became almost unresponsive. Sometimes the TV would reboot on its own multiple times. I spent a few days trying to figure out if I had a lemon, or if it was a buggy 1st-2nd release of firmware. Luckily, I found a parameter that I disabled that made the TV smart features perform as intended. Disabling the "Instant On" feature on this TV really made a positive difference in the overall performance of basic and advance features. It probably adds another second or two powering up the TV, but no big deal. Smart Hub and apps still do occasional flake-out here and there, but doing this really improves things two-fold!The smart remote was much better than I expected and functioned very well. The "Wii-like" pointing feature also works great, I like the fact that the pointer only shows up when you lay your thumb on the remote's touch pad. I found myself inadvertently confirming different areas of the screen because the pointer always resets to the middle of the screen, no biggie, something else to acclimate to. I use a Harmony Touch remote and it also works well in controlling the TV... No pointer obviously.Overall, this TV's picture and smart features are excellent. Very satisfied!!*****8 MONTHS LATER-UPDATED*****--PICTURE QUALITY--This TV is still performing great with regards to picture quality, no dead pixels, nor any other flaws. Looks just as good as the day I purchased it, (well, it looks much better after a screen calibration!) By the way, the default "out of the box" picture settings on this set are a tragedy. You really need to calibrate the TV for the true excellent picture quality to show! I used Disney's WOW disk and was able to calibrate many picture parameters with very, very good results. I've tweaked my settings to keep the LED brightness down to about 14, because this TV can get really bright! Consumer Reports also has a set of optimal picture settings which I compared and are virtually identical from the settings I came up with using the WOW DVD.--REMOTE--I still love the small egg-shaped remote, except for the fact that I've dropped it multiple times due to it just being so small and slippery, one normal grasp can cause a button or two to be inadvertently pressed, and since this remote works with RF signals, TV will act accordingly no matter where the remote is...--TV FIRMWARE--Samsung has updated the TV's firmware multiple times now since April, each revision has a slight noticeable improvement with App reliability and speed. But please do make sure you keep "Instant On" to "OFF". This will prevent the TV's OS from "Standing by". SmartHub overall operation will be much improved and responsive. Occasionally, I've had to reset the SmartHub platform because for some reason, TV apps will refuse to install. This fixes it all the time. I've done this probably 3 times, login credentials and apps have to be reconfigured.--CLEANING/MAINTANCENCE--I've been looking for a safe and effective way to clean this TV's screen, since it is more mirror like than most LED LCD's. A little filtered water with a few drops of plain Ajax dishwashing cleaning solution--(just a tiny bit), and these non-abrasive micro-fiber cloths made by "LiveEuroclean.com". They are green and are obsoletely the best at removing finger prints, chocolate milk, and baby formula---(yes, I have small kids!?!)--OVERALL--I wholeheartedly recommend this unit as it's been performing very well, the picture quality still makes me admire anything displayed on it!!Cheers!!

Great TV
I love this tv. I'm coming from a plasma 48" tv which weighed 90 + lbs and was very hard to move around. The detail, contrast and features are great. I purchased a Stanley TV Wall Mount which could handle hanging up to a 80 lb tv using one stud (this tv weighs less than 40 without the stand). I turned down the brighness and when watching movies at night the black is really black and the colors look great. The tv did come with 2 3D glasses which use batteries. I ordered some rechargible glasses as the bateries are expensive. My kids and I have been enjoying the 3D features. We are very careful what videos we have in our home and don't actually have cable so have not used alot of the smart features.

Absolutely stunning picture when fine tuned. Gave a Vizio M back after 4 weeks and it is not like a lot say online as good. Those people must own a Vizio or be paid off. This is the best picture available in 1080P. Smart features works well and is a bonus, but don't really care for them. I am all about picture quality and screen uniformity coming from plasma's.

Great TV. Picture quality is amazing despite not being rated 4k. 4k input stream shows an amazing picture that is far superior to regular HD quality.
