Good Camera for the price
The media could not be loaded. For the price you pay, you get your moneys worth and a little more. If you are looking for Go-pro, HD-drift quality video and audio then you shouldn't be looking at this camera.I use this camera as a dash cam when driving and a helmet cam when riding my motorcycle. The camera comes with 1 strap that is 12 inches long, 1 strap mount, 1 contoured mount and Styrofoam type mount called saddle mount. The contoured mount comes with double sided tape on it. This is the mount I mounted on my helmet. The contour in the mount fits my helmet perfectly. I applied double sided type to the strap mount and used it as my dash mount. The camera shoots in 720 x 480 pixels and 640 x 480 pixels. A 15 minute video in 720 x 480 is about 800MB. The largest sd card the camera supports is 16GB. The instruction state not to format your sd card in FAT32, only in FAT. However, I was only able to get the card to work when I formatted it in FAT32.The issue I have with this camera are the controls for the lcd, the external mic and the cover in the rear. There are only 2 buttons to make changes on this camera and due to the small size of the LCD the information on screen is not very descriptive, also there is no date and time stamp on the recording. There is a label for date and time but the manual does not tell you how to set them. Just recording video is very easy, you turn the camera on, then you press S to start recording then S to stop recording. the external mic picks up a lot of wind noise and the back cover is made from flimsy rubber. Besides those issues the camera is great. If you are looking for a cheap dash cam then this works great. If you are looking for a camera that does high-end recording then look elsewhere.I have uploaded a short 1:28 min video of day and night recording. Video was recorded in 720x480.Update: I purchased DRIFT HD 720 Professional HD Action Camera (Black) which is a much better camera than this epic. If you don't mind paying an extra $18, I would recommend getting the drift instead of this. The drift build quality is 10x better, user options are better, plus it has a small lcd screen so you can watch the video you recorded and it comes with a remote.

Best budget action cam with expected drawbacks
Pros:priceruns on AAAs!!! This is a big deal!lots of mounts includedeverything workssimple 2-button operation (once you figure it out...more on this later)excellent batt life, 10hrs on original set of alkaline AAA's and going strong! wow!video is adequate for 'cool' vids but limitedHandles most conditions reasonably wellSuper light, mounted on bicycle helmet, don't notice it at allConsdoes not loophandles low-light (twighlight) poorly, almost blackcannot handle nighttimepoor bright light performance (ie full bright daylight washes it out)operation of the 2 buttons is inordinately convoluted. once you figure it out, it's simple. But the M and S buttons mean nothing.audio is near worthlessVideo is not good enough to read license plates (used as bike cam for safety... not good enough)Overall: Very decent budget action cam, decent design, excellent batt life, handles moderate lighting well. Low light is black, super bright light washes it out but still useable. Consider it a durable and well-designed toy to make fun vids of yourself & kids doing sporting things; not good enough to make high-quality video or as a safety cam.I have ordered the HD version of the same thing and have high hopes. I was very impressed with how lightweight yet robust this cam is. Have fun!

Ok video BAD sound
Not sure if this is my unit or the product but the sound is very poor on mine. The listed resolution is 720x480 if memory serves that is DVD quality..this is not the sensor is interpolated. This unit takes quite a bit of doing to use and the still pic and zoom capabilities are there if you can find them.Buy it on sale, cool to have any video is better than none but most smart phones shoot much better and are easier to aim.Update: the LCD on top seems to fail when this get cold, also the connection is not insulated so it will not work until the unit warms up.However I was able to record for about 23 min at -30 F I can live with that trade off will insulate myself.

Finnaly Perfect Close-Up view without Distorted Fish-Eye
48 degree lens is PERFECT for close-up Undistorted shots. This is the missing link to shooting close-up detail. No Fish-Eye, great clarity, even with the lower resolution. So many fields of work need a narrow detailed clear picture which is so much faster to use than the thin phone camera that takes too much time to turn on, set up and use both hands. I hang this unit around my neck, turn on with one hand, shoot the pic or video while continuing work. The construction trade needs this all the time to document work that gets covered up. The inspectors like them.Attach to a magnetic base, stick it onto the excavator, backhoe, crane and all the magic is created. Think about it.There is a need for close and narrow shots, this unit, and there is a home for the wide angle view.Thank you Epic. Now if the higher end companies can put this package together with a stronger shell, then the world will love it.Somehow everyone seems to mimic each other and no one can see the missing link to so many other industries that could use this type of camera.Where is innovation.

This is going to be fun.
Already got to play a little...I flew it up on a kite taking a video of the woods and fields around my property. Also, I made an adapter for my bow using a 5/16 x 3 fine thread bolt and lock nut to fit in the stabilizer mount and dirlled a hole the head of it to mount the clamp from a tree screw kit on. I used camo Gorilla tape to cover it and it works great. With a lighted knock you can watch the arrow flight easily. I'll include a video if I can. Can't wait to try it fishing, mounted to rifle scopes, and on the atv.
