Love
I love the music of Philip Glass and these pieces have all been a joy to play.

A little challenging
The music book was in new pristine condition. No writing. Some of the written music is a little challenging for me because I just recently acquired a piano after many years without one. I'm enjoying re-learning it again and I really enjoy the soundtrack of the movie.

I loved the movie and the music in the movie
These are really just etudes. I loved the movie and the music in the movie, however when the score is converted or transposed from an orchestra score to a piano music sheet, much of the magic of the music is lost. There is only so much a piano can do to replicate the sounds of a full orchestra. Even so, I quickly grew bored with this score. It is nice to hear the piano version once or twice, but when I realized that I would be better spending my time learning any of the classical composer's works, Bach, Hayden, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Rachmaninov, even modern happy pieces like Christian hymns such as Amazing Grace, or classic rock like the Beetles or even Jazz pieces, when, as I said I realized the effort to learn this movie score would instead serve me learning something else, I stopped The Hours. I still intend to keep it, as I can always play along whilst reading the score, imperfectly of course, but I would not recommend anyone purchasing this to learn by heart.

Incredible
"The Hours" is one of my favorite movie and book of all time. Due to the depth of character analysis on three different individuals in three different time periods. The complexity of the issues involved, the delicacy of writing, everything is impeccable.Although an overal "depressing" film, one cannot overlook what a literature masterpiece it is from our time. The accompanying soundtrack is incredible too. It just takes the viewer into the lives of these characters in such a seamless way. Beautiful.

Some people were saying this was too easy but I thought it was pretty difficult
Some people were saying this was too easy but I thought it was pretty difficult. Everything is in C major though so that makes me happy haha!

Pretty good
I really enjoyed the soundtrack to The Hours, as it's very beautiful in a melancholy way. However I found the arrangement a bit simplistic and not as enjoyable to play as I expected.

PERFECT!
EXACTLY what I wanted! The music is arranged beautifully and it's not too complicated. Any fan of the movie or of Philip Glass's music in general would love it.

Got what I was expecting
Nice big book, lovely music. This was a gift for my piano playing sister, a fan of the film, and she loved it.

Philip Glass at his best...
This book is amazing!Pretty easy to play on the piano but full of emotion. The simplicity of the pieces do not lack with depth and colour. Check the Michael Reisman "The Hours" 2004 album or YouTube Anton Batagon's live performance. It truly is a spectacular album and a must have for anyone keen on playing this soundtrack. Notation is cleary printed and easy to read. Not disappointed at all.

Playing for Hours
A must own for Glass fans - amazing soundtrack and a joy to learn these hypnotic compositions. Listen to this frequently and never tire of it so I knew learning the piano score would be highly rewarding.
