Excellent upgrade for my Challenger
I have a 2012 Challenger with the 6-speaker Boston Acoustics audio package. One of the factory speakers had blown, so I elected to replace my front door speakers with a set of these. The difference is pretty stark.Since my factory system is amped, I have no idea what these speakers sound like on their own, powered only by a factory unit, but with them connected to an amp, it genuinely sounds like my car has a sub in it. It doesn't. And they can get LOUD without distortion. My ears gave out before the speakers did.Bass is deep and rich, and sounds great across a variety of music, including pop, rock, hip-hop, and (yes, I checked) even EDM. The audio signal is split before it ever reaches the speaker, so there was nothing at all for the tweeters to do. I wound up turning the tweeter's gain switch to 0, because a little hissy noise was sneaking through, which is to be expected in a 2-ohm circuit.Installation was fairly painless. The Challenger has a shroud that also serves to aim the speaker up and toward the center of the car, and the Infinity's enormous magnet just barely fit. The speaker's mounting cage didn't, however. I used a heat gun to soften and re-mold the shroud, but it wasn't going to work, so I used the included baffle to lift the speaker about a quarter of an inch over the shroud and the speaker fit the shroud easily. I did have to replace the screws that mounted the speaker to the shroud, since the ones from the factory were now too short, but I had a set of stainless screws the right size already. If you're adding these speakers to that car, make sure you have some 1.5" pan-head sheet metal screws or you're gonna have a bad time. I also used a pair of Metra 72-6514 speaker harness adapters (available here on Amazon) so I didn't have to cut and strip the factory speaker wiring. For this particular application, I could've spent a little more and gotten some Kappa-series speakers from Infinity, but why? If I had the base audio system in my Challenger, then the added processing power would easily be worth it, but for replacing the stock door speakers on the BA system, this was the better bang for my buck. Or boom, as it were.

96 Accord Sedan Rear Speakers - Great replacement,
I bought these as a direct replacement of the factory speakers located in the rear deck of my 4-door 96 EX Honda Accord. I have owned Infinity Car Speakers before and was very satisfied with the sound and performance and that figured into my selection process. I also installed a pair of Infinity 6032si speakers in the front doors. I am using an older Alpine Radio and no amp or anything fancy - just an middle age guy listening to county, audiobooks, and NPR on occasion. Speakers sound great and were very easy to install. The speakers appear to be built well and they came with an adapter plate and gaskets (no other mounting hardware was supplied).Installation: One of my original concerns was squeezing these speakers in the factory locations because I did not want to have to do a bunch of modifications to my car to install them. I removed the original factory speakers in the back deck and and test fitted the Infinity 9633cf speakers by installing them through the top like to factory ones were installed. The speakers fit the openings just fine but the mounting holes did not align as good as I had hoped. I probably could have installed them from the bottom but I did not want them hanging down any further in the trunk than the ones I was replacing. I used a Dremel tool to enlarge the mounting holes slightly (you could probably drill them oversize also but that would be a little trickier). Dropped the speakers back in the holes and screwed them down using some 8/32 screws, washers, and locknuts. If you are working on a sedan you can fold down the back seat and do all the work without getting in the trunk. And if you want to use the factory wires and connectors do yourself a favor and buy a pair of the Metra 72-7800 Honda adapter connectors.

Very nice, couple caveats though..
I got these because I generally trust Infinity brand and Harmon Kardon. They have a nice balanced sound and while not overpowering, a pretty decent low end. I was listening to some music and thought "Roh?", rewound a bit and sure enough, a good hint at some 40 to 50 Hz notes. This was when I was parked with no engine running so those low notes are less easy to hear. The bass had a decent punch at high volumes. The +3db tweeter switch is a nice touch. The have pretty high sensitivity, I don't know if they are really 94db at 1w/1m but pretty good. oh, also really nice is the adjustable tweeter. I think that is great! Considering how some speakers sit so low and sound great directly in front of them but not so much when you have your head in a driving position it sure helps a lot.OK, here is the rub (for me) about these speakers. First the tweeters are not flush with the face of the speaker. For some mounting situations this may not work. Second, and the reason I had to return them, they are 2 ohms. This is great if you have a nice stable amp but for a modest head unit or amp stable only to 4 ohms minimum you might be in trouble and the amp might not be stable. I had these in the back and were fine with factory speakers up front but when I put in the 5.25" Infinity speakers (2 ohm) up front the amp would click (not distort) at high volume. I also read at crutchfield website that the higher load you put on your amp with 2 ohm (or 1!) you will reveal more noise with your amp if it is of lower quality. I want a very clean and stable setup so it did not work for me.If you have the amp for it and it mounts for you these are a very good choice and the value is pretty good for the quality.
