It's cheaper than other models and it fits my elongated toilet.
It took my husband just minutes to install. It's white and fits my elongated, white toilet. It looks nice and seems sturdy. It feels like a basic, traditional toilet seat: not uncomfortable and not extra comfortable.I ordered it at 10pm and got it by 1pm the next day.(It was brand new, sometimes people complain about getting used ones.)I've used it for a month with no problems.FYI: It will clank when you open it and close VERY FAST when you lower it.I chose it because:- Amazon could deliver it TODAY (our toilet seat broke last night and I wasn't sure if I could get to the store). I'm east of Seattle, so I'm near the distribution center, which makes fast turnarounds/deliveries easier.- It had good reviews (people said it was solid and easy to install).- It was INEXPENSIVE: $19, plus tax. It was too cheap to qualify for FREE, next-day shipping, so to get it this the next day, I needed to either pay $2.99 for shipping OR add more to my order to make the $25 minimum. (I bought a little bit more).Comments:1) I would have been willing to pay a LOT more for a fancier toilet seat that has a slow-closing lid, is extra comfortable, has a finish that can take ANY cleaner--AND IS DURABLE enough to last >5 years, but I couldn't find one.2) Reviews of other toilet seats indicate that the toilet seats made today don't last. The seat might crack within a few months. The hinge breaks (especially on slow-closing ones). I bought this seat to replace a slow-closing one because its hinge broke after I'd had it for less than a year. I would prefer to have a toilet seat last 10 years (or more), but I think these slow-close hinges get brittle. I'm hoping this new seat lasts several years--but I assume I'll have to replace it sooner than I'd prefer. As a result I decided to get a CHEAP, but sturdy seat.3) Most hinges nowadays are designed to be "removable for easy cleaning." However, in reviews of some other removable seats a few people complained that the toilet seat slid off the hinge while the user was sitting on it. Although this model has that removable feature, I'm hoping that if I don't take it off, perhaps it might make it less likely to pop off unexpectedly. (I've used it for a month and it's been stable)4) Painted toilet seats used to be easy to clean, but the last several I've gotten (both Kohler and Bemis) CANNOT handle a strong cleaner. Even using Formula 409 just ONCE can harm the finish (this didn't used to happen 20 years ago). For this one, I've used a mild soap to clean it (so far okay). To disinfect, I've sprayed it with hydrogen peroxide (which kills salmonella, e.coli and SARS-CoV-2). I usually wipe it off after a few minutes, but I might try leaving it longer, as peroxide just breaks down into oxygen and water. So far, the peroxide doesn't seem to harm the finish.5) I thought of getting a plastic seat (instead of a heavy wooden one) as it might be easier to disinfect, but the reviews were mixed. Some of those plastic seats were flimsy. In another model (an expensive one), users complained that after a few months the toilet seat started to have a strong chemical smell.Just an fyi, I was reading an article that mentioned that toilet seats are shaped to encourage people to "do their business." Sitting on them for a long time when you don't need to have a bowel movement can be counterproductive and bad for your regularity. So, if you do have an extra comfortable seat, just be aware that you shouldn't hang out on it. If you're reading a novel, perhaps you should sit on the couch instead.

It works as you would expect.
It's a great throne, solid wood. You can sit on the lid without it collapsing under you like the plastic ones. It cleans easily because I do it every day. The biggest draw back is it not being soft close. When the boys drop it, you can hear it throughout the house!

Great replacement
Fit great on my elongated toilet, feels nice and sturdy (there's nothing I hate more than a flimsy thin plastic toilet seat, I'm a big guy). The hinges seem well made which was the problem on my last toilet seat, and I'm actually a big fan of the mounting system so long as it holds up which so far it has.

Nice quality easy install
Was time to change out my toilet seats for my oval toilets, took measurements and thought these would be a little long and I was right. They still lay very sturdy and line up enough when installed just hang a smidge over and honestly for how fresh clean and sturdy the seat is not worth it to return. It’s not white white but works. Super easy to install and sturdy. I am happy with it and for the price it’s perfect.

Terrible Toilet Seat. Won't tighten but can't remove
POOR FUNCTIONALITY.I hate this toilet seat. Someone took something simple and made it difficult. I have a round Kohler toilet. I bought a round toilet seat. The toilet seat does not fit my Kohler toilet well, even though it SHOULD fit according to high school math. The seat is slightly too large. The size issue is minor, and I can let that go.The big issue is the bolts/nuts and locks that someone redesigned for this seat. This person who redesigned the toilet seat fasteners on this product needs to return to engineering school.First, the plastic 'nuts' have a lip on them that hits the side of my Kohler toilet and prevents me from tightening the seat 100%. It doesn't say that this seat won't tighten on certain brands or styles of toilets. But guess what, it's incompatible with mine. It can't tighten all the way due to the design.Instead of the seat having a screw on/screw off fasteners, some genius has put locks on the plastic top pieces. Well, the seat is loose again as I can't tighten it 100% due to the bolt lip and my toilet style. And thanks to the stupid plastic locks that won't disengage, I can't remove or seat either. So unless I saw off the bolts/fastners or buy a new toilet, I'm stuck with a loose, wobbly seat. The whole point of replacing the seat was to get one that fits well.I'm so frustrated with this stupid toilet seat. I've replaced other toilet seats in the past, and it gas never been a difficult job. Due to the placement of my toilet, the seat hinges give out more often. You have to sit on the toilet to wash the dog or rinse anything in the tub. It wears out the hinges after a few years. I have never disliked a design change more than this seat design change. When I get back from my trip, I guess I'm using the saws--all to get the stupid plastic bolts off so I can throw this seat in the trash heap where it belongs. The plastic locks won't unlock. With the locks on, I can unscrew the bolts. But since the plastic lip hits the side of the toilet, I also can't tighten the toilet seat. I hope the dog sitter likes a movable seat, because this seat moves around. Once I saw off the bolts and toss this seat, I'll go to Home Depot or Lowe's and buy a seat that I can inspect first. I want one without a plastic lip on the bolt and one without the idiotic locks. And I'm not returning the seat because I used it. I do not return used toilet items. But I do NOT recommend this toilet seat to anyone except maybe as a gift to your enemies. It just has too many design flaws.

Great quality and super value
These are incredible quality and great value. Compared to the plastic seats, these are so comfortable and much more sturdy. They do not slide around when you sit down. I'm buying two more for my other toilets. This is a great toilet seat.
