Hefty Dough Scraper, PLEASANTLY Surprised.
Winco DSC-3 Dough Scraper w Wood Handle I dont buy much of anything, but when I do, I research the hell out of it to make sure I'm getting the highest quality product and something that's going to last for many many years, never to be replaced. In looking for a dough scraper, I wanted a wood handle, not a stainless handle, and not a rubberized/plastic/nylon/poly handle. There's just something natural and grounding about the wood. Yes, this scraper is made in China, and yes, I usually try to stay away from such things bc they tend to break or fall apart and cannot be repaired. But made of little more than a strip of wood and a sheet of stainless, I couldnt be happier with this scraper. It's much nicer and heavier duty than I was expecting and I love the heft to it. The long edge of the exposed stainless is 5 7/8" long by just shy of 3" wide and the handle adds another 1 5/16" to the short edge width of it. The steel's a solid 1mm thick and the rivets appear to be stainless. My scraper did NOT have an irremovable sticker on the blade as some other reviewers have said, though there was some sort of cloudy residue all over the blade and handle (it's not oil...I dont know what it is) but nothing a little soapy water won't fix. And the blade edge is flat and square. Some other reviewers seem to be looking for a beveled/sharpened edge. This is a /scraper/. You could use it to cut marshmallows or soaps or probably even root veg if you dont mind a little bruising, but for you ppl out there looking for a quick option to dice up some onions or mince a bit of parsley, buy a damn knife. Before ordering, I was deciding between this scraper, a similar wood-handled scraper for half the price and rubberized plastic-handled scraper with a ruler printed on the blade (from a popular, reputable manufacturer) for twice the price. I didnt think I'd care for the plastic handle or the extra cost, and I didnt want to risk dissatisfaction with the low-cost scraper. All in all, I couldnt be happier with this one. tldr: This scraper's much nicer, heavier duty, and more durable than I expected and I highly recommend this solid and affordable option. (and if China lets me down and the rivets snap or the wood splits or whatever, I'll be sure to update the post.)

Great quality!
Super high quality and is so handy to have in the kitchen while baking. Works great to clean counter tops off and sharp enough to cut through dough! Super happy overall and hope it lasts for years to come!

Well made.Stainless!
Well made, strong sturdy with a good shape in the hand. We have many uses, for this. Bread makeing, scraping the Blackstone. Stainless steel, this is our second purpose so we have one in the RV also.

New Favorite Kitchen Utensil!
I never knew what I was missing without a bench scraper- now I am very annoyed I have been cooking for as long as I have without one! It makes putting chopped veggies into a bowl or pot SO convenient and easy, without the dropping of random pieces like I used to. Highly recommend to make prepping meals that much easier!

Sturdy, comfortable in the hand, and as versatile as any kitchen tool I own.
Edit: after just a few weeks, this tool has loosened a bit from its handle, and the finish is just about gone from the handle. So there is some compromise in quality — but I still think it’s well worth the price of $7-8 that it cost. Will give it a few coats of polyurethane and call it a day. Original review: What can I say, except that this simple tool as so far exceeded all expectations. The wood handle is of the perfect heft and curve to handle with ease. The blade is substantial and of a perfect size for cutting, moving or scraping all over the kitchen. My favorite use for it -- that oddly comforting ability to scrape away all those dried little bits of stuff on the counters you find when running your hand over it (a pet peeve of mine). It powers right through everything without leaving either residue or so much as a scratch. Just scrape it down and give it a quick sanitizing wipe, and you're good to go. And it does a tip top job of cutting bread dough and such, too! :)

A real bargain for an essential kitchen tool most people dont use
This was the cheapest option I could find for a scraper like this. Initially, I was a little disappointed that the handle didn't feel super premium-- kinda soft and rough. Even so, it was the cheapest option I could find, so it definitely was not a return. However, to my surprise, I've been using it regularly for a couple months and it's held up just fine. No tarnishes to the stainless steel, and if anything the wood part has somehow cured and doesn't feel as low quality as I initially thought. Or maybe I've just gotten used to it. Aside from aesthetics, I don't see any reason to spend more for a "nicer" one. Lastly, guys, this is actually an essential kitchen item that I don't feel like enough people use. If you're using your knife to scrape your cutting board, get one of these. It works better and it'll save your knife. Like when you've chopped a bunch of veggies and need to dump them in a pot.
