James the Just: Presents Applications of the Torah (A Messianic Commentary)

A Very Good Messianic New Testament Commentary. The whole New Testament is not available. I hope more commentaries will soon be written, inorder to the complete New Testament.

As most other reviewers already confirmed this is an excellent book about faith and works and James and Paul has no conflict in faith, works and their relationships. I have anticipated that. The books does provide excellent material to confirm these.I am disappointed that the author didn't mention the faith alone text from Romans directly at all. I bought this books hoping the romans and James be reconciled. The book didn't address this and I was disappointed. This is the reason I gave 3 star instead of 5.

I came across this book in a very timely way. We are currently studying the Book of James during our Wednesday Night Bible Study in a class being sponsored by Torah Resource Institute. What is more, when I got this book, we just finished Parashahs 89 and 90 on the Three-year cycle. The book totally supports the perspective of our Teacher. Love the "Historical, Grammatical, and Contextual" approach of the author.

Must read for Christians and Jews....

Dr David Friedman has written a book that is easy to read and connects the dots for me as a believer and studier of the whole biblical text. I love the in depth study of James whom I didn't know much about before reading this book. So often we read without context and this is a perfect book for all those wanting to broaden and enhance their perspective on the Jewish culture and the lessons that can be learned and applied through James' teaching. Thank you.
