Got me out of a jam!
Worked like a charm! Got me out of a jam with a broken exhaust stud. I didn't have too high of hopes, but seems solid. A bit bulky, but if space isn't an issue, go for it!

good tool to have in the shop
This is a handy device, better than using a pair of vice grip pliers to try to remove a stud. The cam locking mechanism is able to fit most sizes I'll ever encounter. I'm confused about the nut splitter reference; there was nothing pictured and no nut splitter in the package. But that is not what I was looking for.

It was a pretty good value for the price.
It was easy to use but it didn’t want To release the stud when you tried to back it off. I used it to remove studs from a engine block I used this tool for the second time yesterday. I was removing a stud from a engine block and the tool broke in half. This tool is not a quality tool and I do not recommend this tool. I can provide a photo if necessary.

Good Stud Remover
Good quality materials used in making this tool. Good chrome finish and does a good job at gripping the stud.

Questionable quality but works for now. Do t expect it to last
Awkward to use like most of these types of devices, this one is worse than most since the retaining ball on the drive extension component has such a weak spring. The part falls apart way too often and way too easily. The component that grips the stud is not hardened well enough with several ridges flattening with each use. When it doesn’t slip it works well enough. I am guessing it will work a few more times before becoming useless

Not for use on older engines with stuck studs
DO NOT USE ON OLDER STUDS - the tool provides an offset force that applies sideward pressure to stud and bends the stud, breaking off the weaker studs that are "STUCK" in the bock. For older engines or engines with hard to remove studs, I recommend the type of stud remover that looks like a drill chuck that only provides twisting force without side force.

Worked Great For What I Bought It For
Worked great to remove a broken exhaust manifold flange stud. Paid for itself the first use.

Best stud remover
I've spent my entire life fighting with replacing parts on vehicles because the old equipment tends to break off. Well it happened again, I tried to replace an exhaust pipe and sure enough one of the bolts snapped and that was after using wd40 and heat which usually works. I saw this and decided to give it a try. Granted, it still took a bit using an impact wrench, but it did eventually come out. Highly recommend.
