Works So Well I Bought 2
This little device does what it says it does. It will allow you to wirelessly connect to your speakers (or stereo receiver) via a 3mm jack or RCA cables (red and white connectors). Pairing is simple enough I won't go into it cause every other review here has addressed it.Because every review here sounds the same I will go into something that nobody else has: using 2 Logitech Wireless Adapters. Both units identify themselves as different on the Bluetooth settings so you won't confuse one from the other. One of them shows up as "(10) Logitech Adapter" and the other (the latest one I bought) shows up as "(AR) Logitech Adapter". I don't know why one is identified by letters and the other by numbers but on with the review. What I was trying to accomplish was have the same song played throughout my entire condo which I thought would be a pretty neat thing. I was able to successfully pair my iPod Touch and Galaxy S2 to both adapters simultaneously, but unfortunately, I learned that just because the adapter was paired to my iPod Touch and Galaxy S2, didn't necessarily mean it would play through both at the same time. I can have my Galaxy S2 connected to one adapter and my iPod Touch connected to the other adapter and playing simultaneously but they will not play through the same adapter simultaneously.Basically you could only use one device for one adapter at a time. When I went to play a song, the music players on both the iPod Touch and Galaxy S2 showed both adapters as available for use, but I could only tick one to play through, there wasn't an option to play through both adapters simultaneously. This seems more like a software limitation than a hardware one. It might be possible to play through both adapters at the same time, but I don't know of any music players that allows this.So I resorted to using my Galaxy S2 for my favorite radio station connected to one adapter and my iPod Touch connected to the other adapter, set on the same radio station. For whatever reason, TuneIn Radio always had the same song slightly delayed on one device so the sound was not synchronized. I don't know why it did this.I guess to accomplish my goal of having music throughout my condo, I would have to buy 2 Apple Airports and hook them up to the speakers. Maybe I'll do that later on and sell these at some point because I would really like to have music throughout my condo as I'm walking about and not just have it in one room. If you don't have an Apple iDevice then you'll just have to settle for these Logitech adapters which work fine, but you'll have to settle for one only one set of speakers. As a side note, my bluetooth signal from the Galaxy S2 is quite poor. If you are a Galaxy S2 owner, you may or not may not have this problem. I tried to send signal from my bedroom to my living room and it started breaking up rather badly. My iPod Touch has lost signal just a little bit when I go way off in a corner someplace and put my body between it and the adapter, but even then, the signal didn't degrade nearly as badly as with the S2.I was surprised at the small size of this adapter when I got it. It's just about the size of a hockey puck and should fit on your desktop or bedside table with no problem. The light on the front turns red when no device is paired with it and turns green when it's paired. My condo has 950 sq feet and I have one adapter in the living room and one in the bedroom (it's a 2BR condo). There's one hallway that connects all the rooms (living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms). I can use my iPod Touch to connect to both adapters without problems and get a good quality sound so I can say the the adapter's ability to receive signal is pretty good.Biggest ConSound level seems to be decreased a bit. I have to turn the volume up on my speakers to get the same level of sound compared to a line-in (I'm using a pair of small Bose speakers). It's not a big deal, most people might not even notice.***Update 6/10/2015***I have my 2.1 stereo (NHT Super Zero's with subwoofer) hooked up to this unit and Apple TV. Through my comparison I have come to the conclusion that the sound quality I get from this unit isn't all that great. Or maybe it's good, but the Apple TV is really great? Not really sure what the reason is.I listen to music quite loudly and I have to crank up the sound on the Yamaha receiver to -13dB to get the same level of volume with the Apple TV (-24dB). Also, the sound quality is not as good. The bass sounds fuller and richer with the Apple TV compared with this Logitech bluetooth adapter. The different is so pronounced to my ears that it is very significant.I'm picky. I think most people could care less about the sound quality and for more than 90% of the people this unit will get the job done. For true audiophiles, I cannot recommend this bluetooth adapter. I would use an Apple TV to stream music or perhaps some other bluetooth device.I have another adapter in my bedroom, but I also have an Airport Express along side it. I could very well wind up selling both units in the future.

Simple product, works very well
My friend was giving away an old receiver with a center and two satellite speakers, so I threw them in my car and set to work decking out my kitchen with music. After a few days of connecting my phone to the receiver via a cable in the 3.5mm jack, I decided I needed to explore wireless options. This came up pretty quickly in my search, and being a fan of other Logitech products, I figured I'd give it a try.If you're even somewhat familiar with Bluetooth (AKA, if you've ever paired a device), the "setup" of the product is basically plugging it in to the wall and speakers/a receiver. After that, you simply press the button to make it discoverable to other Bluetooth devices. Once you've paired it, you have music. That's it. The most you should have to do is select it as an audio output device, but based on my experience, this is only needed with laptops and such, not mobile devices like phones or MP3 players. We currently have three devices paired with it: her iPhone, my Droid Razr, and her MacBook Pro. The ranges of each vary, but when they're within their useful range, it's just a few button presses to activate the adapter. Other reviews have reported having to disconnect one device to start using another; I have not experienced this. I have been able to connect to the adapter with my phone while my wife's phone was still in the room with BT enabled and connected to the adapter. Whichever device connected last "won." Also: we have lost power a few times due to storms, but it seems to come up with the same functionality as before. The useful range goes from about 15 feet for the MacBook Pro to almost 30 feet with my Droid. This is aided a bit by positioning it on top of our cabinets, probably 9 feet from the floor and away from other electronic devices. I was somewhat concerned because one of our vehicles doesn't always play well with my wife's iPhone, so I didn't want to make matters worse by adding one more device (this adapter is on top of some cabinets on the wall shared with the garage). However, it doesn't seem to be interfering at all.Audio quality is only going to be as good as the connections: it only has composite (red, white) and 3.5mm connectors, so don't expect the same quality as components connected by digital/optical cables. In addition, the BT protocol is not the quickest one out there, so some operating systems/devices compress audio further while streaming over it. This adapter is more of a convenience piece as opposed to a component in a serious home studio, but as long as you are using it for its intended purpose, it's great.People can always wish for more features, but this unit simply advertises the ability to easily connect to mobile devices and play music over Bluetooth. Since it does that very well, I can't justify giving it anything less than five stars. It's probably a bit overpriced as of this writing, but monetary value is different for different people, so I don't really factor that into my reviews.Pros- Very easy setup.- Very simple operation.- Relatively good reception (seems to be mostly based on your device's transmitting power).Cons- Additional connectivity logic would be nice (prioritized devices, auto-connect, etc.).- Audio quality is not as good as optimal wired connections.
