Perfect for sighting a shotgun
I am very pleased with this item. I got it to help me zero a red dot on my Mossberg shotgun. The laser was thick and well constructed. It had a nice lip on it so it didn’t go down or get stuck in the barrel. When I racked it actually ejected out. I picked the longest distance in my house to use a spot on the wall as my point of aim and matched my dot to the spot on the wall. Yesterday I went to the range to see how the laser worked out expecting to have to make some adjustments but I didn’t. It was spot on 15-20 yards out. I ran out of time so I didn’t get to try 25 yards. I am very pleased. This is perfect to zero a dot especially on a 12g. Shells aren’t cheap and where I initially had my red dot was no where near zero. I would have wasted a lot of time and money with out this.

Excellent Bore Sighter at a great price
I am really impressed with this MidTen 12 ga Laser Bore Sighter. We mounted a scope on our Remington 870 slug gun after this last deer season and tried to sight-in the scope by simply firing slugs down range. After 2 boxes of slugs we still were a good 10 inches from center. We shifted approaches and found this bore sighter on Amazon and the price was worth a try. The construction of this bore sighter is very heavy and solid. It slid easily into the chamber just like any other shell. With the laser light beaming brightly down range we were able to adjust the scope and had it spot-on in a matter of minutes. We still need to confirm the scope alignment at the range but I'm confident it is spot-on. This was a very good purchase for basically the cost of a few boxes of shells and we have it for future use. I would definitely recommend this bore sighter.

Solid brass
Solid with a snug fit. Made from machined brass. The laser is accurate and has good range in dim light (don't try to use it in sunlight).I repeatedly rotated it and re-seated it. The laser came back to the same spot. Used it to align my Romeo5 red dot and was pleased with the results.

Better than Barrel-End Lasers But Not Bright Enough Outdoors
Bought this and a CVLIFE barrel-end laser to sight in a new Berreta 1301 shotgun (slugs) with a Trijicon RMR HD optic. Zeroed it at home and when at the range, it seemed to be quite a bit off when sighting in but then checked it again after sighting in and it was about 1" off at 50 yards so not bad. However, the laser was not bright enough to use outdoors even in a heavily overcast day against a fairly dark background. The Barrel-End laser was significantly brighter which actually made it more challenging to use in doors as the dot appeared to splash a fairly large area on the target (about 1" at 10yrds expanding out from there at greater distances). However, outdoors in heavy overcast, it could be adequately seen at 50 yards and the impact dot diameter was less than 1/2" at that distance. The challenge was getting it firmly fixed in a 12 gage. Even though it advertised comptabiliy it required the removal of the improved cylindar choke tube and still was not "solid". Thus rotating it made a significant difference as compared with the in-chamber model. It tended to be off considerably but in some rotations was not bad. With slugs selling for about $1.50/ea, money would probably have been saved by skipping this, starting at 20 yards at the range and using more ammo. You'll want to start at short range anyway as I wouldn't trust this without some actual shooting feedback.
