Great Set for First Time Homeowners!
My husband and I recently closed on our first home! We were so excited but severely naive in how little tools we had. We have a Kobalt rechargeable drill I purchased for him for Valentine's day the year before. Since we just closed on our house, we were a bit tight on cash but needed something. This filled it while being UNDER budget! There's a bit for almost everything you would need realistically. One of my favorites is that it comes with a mini little handle to put small bits in and use manually. This is super handy if you don't have a screwdriver that fits in the area or has a tip you specifically need. Also, it comes with a mini box of #2 Phillips bits - the bits we basically use ALL the time for everything. Lose one? There's a BUNCH more left. The magnetized bits included are fan-freakin-tastic. Make sure to read my con on the magnetized bits below though! The case for it all holds them securely. You can close it and as long as the bits click into place, they won't roll around inside. However, I took off a star for one main reason: the magnetized bits WILL break. It's only a matter of time. Within the first three months the round magnet around the bit had not only cracked but fell off. Now, I could use Kobalts lifetime warranty for a replacement but for two or three bits? Not worth my time to be frank. Otherwise, these are the BEST FREAKIN bits I have ever used. Perfect for hanging pictures, making wood projects, and even taking things apart. I just wish they were made better. Do not get me wrong, this is a fantastic set. Especially for those who do not have a huge set to start with. As first-time homeowners, we have basically used everything in this set multiple times.
