Shell Rotella T6 Full Synthetic 15W-40 Motor Oil, 1 Gallon (3 Pack)

My diesel is getting old, no problems just wanted that little extra protection for summer months, always used the oil for 1999 F250 7.3 Diesel. Run around 6000 miles between my oil changes, I use a bigger oil filter than OEM Ford. I do put actives when changing. No problems with order. This truck was my work truck, and now my retired truck. 210K on it now and towed a car from Cal to TN with no problems, with the protection this oil provides.

Bought this oil because it was recommended for my MEP-803A army generator. Seems to work well and I think is lower friction than the original oil, because I noticed I needed to turn down the RPMs slightly to get back to 60Hz. Possible improvement in fuel economy.

I hesitated to switch from MotoCraft for my 2021 F250 Diesel for warranty purposes (drive train is 5 years). When I looked up qualified diesel oil meeting the Ford requirements, Shell Rotella was all over in terms of standard, semi-syn, and full syn. To top it off, Shell Rotella Syn picks up the engine warranty when the Ford warranty expires up to 15YR or 500,000 miles. WOW, I was sold. Don't forget to register for the warranty if you buy this oil.

I use Rotella T6 in all my engines, both gas and diesel as well as my farm tractors. For me, T6 is the ultimate lubrication. Having said that. this pail is white, not the usual blue and it leaked just a tad in transit. Not a deal breaker as the per pail price is excellent and I will purchase it again, just like I have in the past.Rotella in the 5-40 viscosity insures easy cold weather starts and performs excellent in hot weather as well.

Bought for Ford 7.3 turbo diesel. Works great as expected.
