Absolutely brilliant!
Just put a small 7ft x 6ft uPVC on the back of the bungalow, there was already a patio area with slabs over a hard core/cement base so rather than digging out foundations the porch sits over the slabs. To seal any damp that might come up through the slabs I did some research about damp proof course products and went for Drybase as it was available in an easy to apply liquid with a brush or roller, I used a brush. It also dries very quickly and has hardly any odour. I liked the fact it not only protects against damp but also various harmful gases. I cleaned the slabs before application and although 2 coats are recommended to be on the safe side and to fill in the tiny gaps between the slabs I put 4 coats on. Criss crossing coats. It took about 6hours altogether from application to completion. I'm very pleased with the finish, it feels warm to the touch, the gaps are sealed between the slabs and where the bottom of the walls join the floor. The temperature outside when I did it was around 20C. I laid the vinyl flooring the next morning and an outdoor rug just protect the vinyl a bit. It really is brilliant stuff. In fact it's so good I've used some of it to repaint the top of my large air source heat pump, because the window installers had scratched the paint off when fitting a new kitchen window and I didn't want the AHP cover to rust. In fact I've only just painted the AHP top cover and it's just 10C outside maybe a bit less, and the Drybase still took less than an hour to dry between coats. It's not meant to be used in this way, but seeing as I'd bought a 5L can and only used about 1L I thought I might as well use some of it up. I believe from memory the shelf life once opened is about 2years if kept sealed and in a dark cool shed or outbuilding. I read that the life of the product used on the actual floor is about 2-3yrs so I'll give the porch floor another 4 coats in 2 years time whether it needs it or not. So yes I'd recommend this product, the hardest thing was getting the lid off and putting it back on again. Oh and it goes a looooong way, so I'd recommend getting a 1L tin to start, because that's all I used and ended up with 3/4 of a tin left over. And if you do need to get a second tin 2 x 1L tins are only £40 so cheap enough for a professional finish!

Excellent Solution for Damp-Proofing Walls and Floors
The Drybase Liquid Damp Proof Membrane is an outstanding product that truly lives up to its promises. I recently used this on a problem area in my home, where dampness had been an ongoing issue, and the results were impressive. Applying the paint was straightforward. The consistency is just right—not too thick, so it spreads easily, but not too thin either, ensuring solid coverage. The 1-litre can be enough to cover a decent-sized area, and the white colour provided a clean, bright finish. It dried quickly and left a smooth, even layer that looked great. What really impressed me was how effectively this paint sealed the walls and floors, creating a reliable barrier against moisture. Since applying it, I’ve noticed a significant reduction in dampness, and my walls have stayed dry even during wet weather. It's clear that this product is doing its job perfectly. If you're dealing with damp issues in your home, I highly recommend the Drybase Liquid Damp Proof Membrane. It’s a quality waterproofing solution that provides both peace of mind and a professional finish. I'll definitely be using it again for any future projects!

Seems to be working
We had some bridging over the dpc from our porch into the hallway. After some re-plumbing, I used this to try and seal the wall to prevent water getting in. So far so good. Very easy to put on, the people complain it is too thin either have no idea what they are on about or bought a different product to me! Worth the money for small damp issues. Just follow the instructions

Excellent product
Easy to apply, dried reasonably quickly. Fumes not too bad and only when still wet. Worked well for me, had a enclosed porch with a concrete floor which always smelled damp. Two coats of Drybase and problem fixed.

💯 % would recommend. Solved the problem
Absolutely fantastic product. I had really bad wet walls due to no real ventilation in the bathroom. Walls were literally dripping after a shower even with the window open. Several layers of this ( I applied atleast 4 times juat to be on tje safe side) bone dry walls now. A lot goes a long way

Partial Review, Now updated to full Review
A little bit hard to review at the moment, I have an internal conservatory double door that leads from the kitchen into the conservatory which years ago must of been a wall as the conservatory was added on after the house was built. I took up the old lino since having a new kitchen fitted as you could feel loose concrete under that part of the door, The lino was mouldy underneath and I first thought it was due to the bathroom flooding above before we moved in and that the room wasn't dried out properly. I removed all the old broken concrete and left to air dry for 2 weeks. I laid some concrete based levelling compound to fill in the divets and to make it nice and flush. All bone dry, Nearly 2 weeks later I noticed damp patches coming up through the new concrete I laid which eliminated the old bathroom flood cause. I read a review on here that someone with an old cottage has the same issue so I got this stuff. It goes on really easy just like emulsion, It's important to paint the first coat in one direction then once dry paint in the other direction ( up down then left and right). So far the floor is totally sealed and feels bone dry. I like how it's so easy to clean from a brush it cleans easier than standard emulsion water based paint. My new floor won't be going down yet probably not until September/October so I will come back and say if this has worked. My only concern is where will the damp go? Will it travel and affect somewhere else? We'll see. Update: 12/8/2020, Dropping to 3 stars: The pros - I keep getting these small patches coming through parts of a painted wall it maybe salts but not 100% sure it's not sopping wet or anything as i drilled a bit of the wall out and it seemed dry and no matter what paint I used they kept appearing so this stuff has blocked them, All the other products like damp seal etc the patches have always appeared after a week but not with this stuff. Con: So my damp patch concrete floor is sealed with maybe 6 coats, I can see when I lift up the old lino there are bubbles appearing and there is slight wet on top of the membrane, I'm not sure if it's condensation or if the water is some way getting through the membrane and the rest of the surrounding area is bone dry. When I applied the surface was dried out with a mini heater and before I put lino back down the 6 thick coats of this stuff was bone dry too. I may have to just live with that little damp patch as I can't be paying thousands for things to be ripped out etc
