Giant Crab Flavored Shrimp Chips (3 X 200g Boxes)

Excellent product. Very subtle crab taste, but it's there. Sweeter than the normal prawn crackers, but crab is indeed "sweeter" than shrimp. I fried them in a Fry Daddy with peanut oil; takes about 15 seconds. (Fry Daddy is regulated at 375 F. - perfect temperature.) These fry up very large; over 2" diameter, so only do a few at a time. It's important to gently stir/turn them while they fry; no uncooked edges this way. Over-frying them for a few seconds - until they turn a light shade of ivory - adds a nice flavor. There's no coloring agents added, and the base is tapioca starch. Best we've had in years!

I like these! Very easy to cook! Not oily! Good flavor! I will be buying some more of them!

If the crab flavored chips could be used to add tasty crunchy bits to stir fried vegitables I would have given them five stars but, they totally dissolve when mixed in. As they make delicious snacks I am giving them four stars.

I bought these on line because I didn't think I would find them local (which I didn't). They have a bit of a spicy flavor to them which I wasn't expecting, but they were good. I tried 4 different ways to cook them - air fryer, microwave, over and deep fry. Although the air fryer worked, the chips would get caught in the grill rack and they didn't expand to their full size which was about 3 inches. Frying worked the best, but you have to make sure you only do a couple at a time or in a deep fryer, so you could remove them quickly. The nice part was that these chips stayed fresh after frying them for at least a week. Great for a luau.

These are great! They taste just like prawn chips hard to tell difference even though they are crab. These are the same chips they use on the Pu-Pu platters here in Rhode Island.in some of the better Chinese restaurants. They are really easy to make and fun to watch as they grow in the oil. All you do is take a frying pan and put an inch of oil in, when oil is hot at about 350 drop these little wafers in and they will instantly grow to 3 to 4 times their size. They poof up and that is it, just remove them from oil and serve. Be careful to not make oil too hot as these burn easily. Everyone in my family loves these including my dogs and the parrot.

I have ordered these 4 times before. Every time, they were great: plain, white rounds that become delicious after throwing them in the fryer or microwave for about 30 seconds. Unfortunately, this time around, it looks like I got a dud. The boxes look the same as before, but when I opened the boxes, what was inside looked very different. There were little green and white pieces in the rounds and some kind of seasoning on them. I sent a message to the vendor, and I hope to hear back from them as this is not what I wanted. I hope this is not a new version of this product because I only want them in the plain version. If there are 2 version of this, I recommended reaching out to the specific vendor before buying them. I will update this review when I hear back from the vendor.

Cooked these in non-traditional way... in microwave! 1min 15sec and poof... delicious crab chip puffs.

Sorry but these had very little flavor, some were soft and chewy after frying others wouldn't even fluff up, maybe I just had a bad batch, who knows.
