This is the best trowel I have ever purchased, and I am a lifetime gardener! I bought this for my husband for Xmas as I assumed with a lifetime guarantee it would be good. That would be an understatement. It is strong, sturdy, and ergonomically correct for a comfortable palm grip. As soon as he puts it down I snatch it up because it is better than any other trowel we have. No doubt we will be getting one for me.

Update: A year on from my original review and I like this Trowel so much I bought a second one to use for work and when I have help in the garden. The original one is still holding up great with no bends, rust (even with leaving it wet) or any other issues. Very happy for the price. Although this transplanting trowel isn't quite as good as my main one (which cost over double the price), it is an excellent value for the money and is still very well made unlike most other ones out there. The ergonomics are very good and the trowel doesn't have any flex, even when digging and prying on roots with some force. To echo other comments the trowel could be a bit better at cutting into hard ground, at least compared to my other trowel, but this really isn't a common use issue for me, especially at this price point. I would definitely recommend this trowel.

I use this trowel regularly in my garden and landscaping. I have severe neuropathy in my hands, and yet the way the handle is so comfortably designed and the weight of the tool is balanced I can use this more easily than any other type of gardening trowel, and can actually enjoy my gardening. I also love the depth measurements being so clearly stamped, and that the sharp digging point makes for quick work, whether transplanting, weeding, or whatever. I would recommend it to everyone who loves "digging up dirt!"

I like it very much and it’s very strongly made. I’m giving it 4 stars because the edge that would penetrate the soil is very thick and very blunt. This makes it difficult to penetrate hard ground.

Just.... wow! Well made, decent feel, good balance, and at a great price. Absolute top marks for this. Should be a straight 5.0 Absolutely nothing to complain about this. Highest recommendation.

This trowel is very sturdy and makes digging to plant flowers easy, while the grip is comfortable and fits into the hand well.

Excellent product! Perfect length and diameter for digging deep into those pesky gopher holes to set traps. Very strong, able to break off roots underground. Handle is comfortable and in line with the blade. Blade isn't sharp but I was able to grind an edge at the tip to cut roots. I don't think you will be able to break this thing! Sorry for the gardeners but this tool is great for gopher holes.
