Cuban-born Casanova began piano study at the age of five, and within three years was selected to enter the Music Conservatory in Havana, Cuba. By the age of 13 she had already performed major works by composers such as J.S. Bach, Beethoven and Schubert. Upon her family's move to the United States, she enrolled in the San Francisco Conservatory, and later received her performance degree from the University of Redlands. Ms. Casanova maintains an active concert career, and is a regular participant in master classes and musical competitions.

A Must Have, if you like classical piano.
Elena Casanova is of Cuban descent, and lives in Northern California. I heard her play in concert, and just had to have this CD. Her music is beautiful and elegant. There is one piece so intricate, it will blow you away.

Elena Casanova's interpretations of the Cuban greats are truly inspiring. The daughter of René Touzet after hearing Elena play his works commented that Elena plays Touzet's music as he would would play it. 5 Stars!!
