Not just for K-poppers 😁😎😊 CD has MP3 files that work fine 🎺🎻🎹🎷📯
Yes, you probably need to know Hangeul.CD (not a DVD or Blu-ray) contains MP3 files, 1 MP3 audio file for each flash card. ]The disc will not play on a DVD player for obvious reasons. When people ask me what I did during the COVID shutdown, I say, "learned to read and write Hangeul". I purchased a $5.00 beginner's book, like the kind we use in the elementary school, and worked every single page. A simple primer of writing elements used in Korean over and over and over gave me a nice working knowledge. The second step was flashcards. Used daily during lunch while walking my pups. Now that I've mastered the very basics I'm ready for some new flashcards.Reading some of the reviews a few people were critical of the flashcards because they are based on knowing Hangeul. I agree, without a substantial knowledge of not only the letters and a syllabic block you will be lost. The first time I watched a K-drama and I actually read a word was amazing. Within the first few cards was an English word in Hanguel, but these are an excellent way to learn and practice vocabulary. My only critique is they might be better if the cards focused on one word. All things considered the cards are amazing. Looking forward to whole books and maybe one day speaking in Korean.

Great Product
If you are learning Korean language, these flash cards are GREAT!!! They will help in memorizing the words you are learning from self-taught to learning from a school institution, or internet program. This is a must have!!!

More Intermediate Than A Beginner Resource
I'm learning Korean on my own (for the present) and there is undoubtedly a lot of material available. So, based on some reviews for this kit, I thought it could provide vocabulary and be a place to start. It comes with nicely laminated cards, a large metal ring, a introductory booklet, and ample material to cram in your head. BUT, in my opinion it's more of intermediate level, and NOT beginning if your goal includes learning to read Hangul/Hangeul (Korean alphabet). In this respect, these flashcards at this stage could be overwhelming and impractical. OTOH, if you just want to dive in and develop a vocabulary and learn phrases, this kit could be quite useful and just another approach for learning Korean. Regarding the CD (MP3), it's also helpful but can only be used on your computer CD player or in players that are MP3 compatible. (You might consider burning a CD copy from the MP3 files.) Overall, a good investment for the cost. Thumbs up.

Only Con: I'm Not Sure If Its Me BUT Audio Disc Doesn't Play
I am usually very lenient when it comes on to reviews so I will start off with the good ☺️. Firstly I would say that everything came beautifully packaged and organized the cards are small and compact perfect for when traveling ! They are easy to read and not complicated! They are kind of flimsy and you are going to have to be careful most likely . Now for the con and the only reason I took a star away is because I put the disc into a DVD player (my notebook laptop doesn't have a hard drive) to see if the audio works and the disc was ejected . I'm not sure if it was just because it wasn't a video but usually disc with audio play in my DVD player so it's most likely the disc which is disappointing ☹️. Otherwise from that it's all good ! Just make sure all your disx actually work before you ship them and I'm pretty sure you will have 5 out of 5 rating all the time ☺️!!

Convenient and portable.
These cards are nice to carry around while studying. There are so many words it will take me a while to learn them all. The cards also provide a sentence using the word as well as 4 additional words on each. My only suggestion is that they be printed with Black ink instead of blue to make them easier to read. Other than that they are a nice size and I like them alot.

Good
Good. My CD does appear to work since others have been saying it doesn’t work for them. Guess I was Just one of the lucky ones. If you don’t care about the CD and just about the flash cards (I didn’t really care if the CD worked or not) then you are in luck. The flash cards are really nice and informational

Missing some cards, duplicates of others
The quality is pretty decent, but quality control isn't. I took a chance on these despite multiple reviewers stating that some cards were missing from their boxes. It turns out I have 10 cards missing as well as 10 duplicates. Not only that, the hole placement differs on the 10 duplicates — which wouldn't be a big deal except that I actually prefer the hole placement on the duplicates. The 190 cards in my deck have the holes in the bottom right-hand corner, which might make sense for some but is awkward to me. Instead of flipping the cards like turning pages in a book, it's the opposite, like leafing through a book beginning with the last page. Long story short, I don't know if I'll ship these back for a replacement or just keep them. After all, there's no guarantee the next set will be complete or have the holes in the preferred spot.

Excellent in all facets
I liked the concept of a main word with 4 thematically related words on the same card. You get five times as you would expect from the number of cards. The secondary words are small type, but I think the approach strengthens learning. The cards themselves are durable, easy to shuffle, and have no sharp corners. Altogether a nice set.
