I have always liked this product.
I slice the bread. Toast it lightly and butter. Then top it with apple butter. Oh yum. The bread tends to be kinda dry. When properly doctored it is moist and tasty.

Excellent, same brand we had growing up in New England. Prices a little high but cheaper than other sellers.

Dented, unusable.
Every can was dented. The whole point of this product, beyond it being yummy, is that you open both ends of the can with a can opener then push the bread out of the can using one of the metal plates, then you remove the metal plates from both ends and slather butter and enjoy the deliciousness. (heating slightly improves everything and is recommended but not necessary). This seller sent along only dented cans. So I was left with digging chunks. Sorry. Not worth the price. If they want to send only dented cans, OK but give me a heads up and reduce to price by two thirds because this is insulting to what this product is meant to be. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER!!! They are charging full price for manufacturer discards. They should be ashamed.

Good with baked beans
My daughter and I love the brown bread with baked beans. I grew up in California eating this for dinner but could not find in the stores when I moved to Georgia. So happy to find here.

Definitely something different
I wasnt thrilled with this bread. Not what I remembered. I toasted it and it tasted better. Has an off "canny" flavor but the toasting did help. Would I buy this again? Nope!
