Uniden BPS100 Li-Ion Battery, Replacement Battery Model# SDS100 True I/Q™ Digital Handheld Scanner

If you have a Uniden SDS-100, you know what your batteries should look like. My first order came with the battery already swelled. Figured something was odd when I had a hard time getting it out of the box. I was able to do a quick swap with Amazon and received the replacement pretty quickly. I'm rating this one with 5 stars due to how good the second battery I received is. Just like when I first received my scanner. It lasts longer than my originals. And fits better as the others have swelled a little. One was to the point I didn't feel safe with using it anymore. Glad this was available. I've been enjoying the scanner a little better now with a newer batter.

well packaged, fit on the radio, took a charge and when put on the radio the radio worked!

These things are expensive and only last maybe 5 months before they stop working and swell. Very dangerous if you ask me. Update. I have another one that stopped working and swelled as seen in the second picture. At this point I believe this is a serious safety concern and would advise everyone to immediately stop using these batteries and place them in something metal outdoors like a bbq grill until you can safely dispose of them. The sds100 will not record or playback without a battery installed but much better than starting a fire.
