"Failed to add device"
This is really a bad product that has poor product support. I'm an advanced tech person and couldn't get this to connect to my wi-fi. Do note that your wi-fi needs to offer 2.4, and otherwise if your security settings are creating a hidden network, meaning your wi-fi isn't broadcasting its SSID, this could prevent a successful network connection. With that said I still cannot get this AC controller to connect to wi-fi. Back to the products support the voicemail explains "we are a small family business that is digital first", meaning they want you to email them rather than at least assigning one person to answer the phone. Sorry, but I require a better path to getting support to make this product work. So now I will say again that I am a very advanced IT person and this product setup is terrible, maybe impossible, but I give up. Returning the product.

Works well after carefully setting it up a 2nd time with our no LCD screen window AC units
Works well with our ACs with no LCD screen , but not that great if u have an AC with LCD display , here I can’t get the Atomi app to turn the AC off. Probably a software issue from their side. It was easy toninstall , but big dislike is that the menu on the screen with the functions of your AC Incl the temperature doesn’t show you the setting the AC has after for example u adjust a setting. It’ll only show current roomtemperature never the set one. And also the setting in which mode it is or fab speed do work though to adjust them but it won’t show their status and that’s just totally senseless. So even if for any reason the input wasn’t successfully submitted to the AC u won’t know That unless you’re home and look at the ACs display . I think this is aswell a software issue what Atomi could very easy resolve by programming the software this way which is based on the smart life app software , what also is possible to set it up with smart life or tuya app , but other big minus is that in the Alexa app this also won’t show as a controllable device which u could power on and off without voice control over the touchscreen on your echo show or the app on the phone . So with that I would say you get for 20$ pretty much the most you can get, i probably will change for sure for the units we have with LCD screen to the Cielo breez version as seems their system works perfectly to LCD display remote controlled units and shows you the current status of the real time settings. I guess if Atomi would fix that they probably will raise their price as then it would be really the almost perfect product for a too cheap price .

It will work but not well for ACs with LCD screens that are automated
I was really excited to get this product but when using it in practice it's not very good they need to add features for remotes with LCD screens to individually control more functions, such as pre-programmed remotes to choose from for the specific air conditioner also the function for the LCD remotes doesn't work very well or at least not for me I set it all up and wanted to set different presets but the power button doesn't work when you push it and I even set it for schedule and still didn't come on so I set a bunch of manual presets with the non LCD remote feature and that's fine because all I want to do was control my AC when I wasn't home if you play with it a little you understand what I'm saying. Overall yes it will turn on and off very C if you have a small window unit that doesn't have automated functionality it'll probably work great and be just what you're looking for if you have a mini split that has an automated LCD remote not so good If you don't have an automated LCD remote it should still work fine for your mini split. Overall 20 bucks isn't bad to be able to control functions of your AC from your phone if you're lazy lol but I don't think it works as you would expect from a product such as this.

Doesn't function as intended
Short and sweet....This device continually lost connectivity to the wireless network and I'm not sure why. The app would also notify me that the device could either not connect or could not be found. Resetting it did not solve the problem. I also came home several days in a row to find that none of the devices turned on AND when I checked the programmed schedule in the app, there were none to be found. You could navigate the entire menu and program a schedule and after pressing SAVE, the schedule was still not saved. In essence, nothing of this device functioned as intended.I have since been using this device: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DL6M8PZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1It seems to be working correctly so far and the app is much easier to use. Only issue I have found is how to switch the AC temperature from Celcius to Fahrenheit. Still, works nicely and works well as a colorful nightlight.

Great we'll made product that does the job!!
It works every time I need it. Impressed with wifi connection before it hooks up. A little difficult to set up. But once connected no issues. I had to get a remote for A/C, because it only works off of that. You have to program it first with a remote. Then the system works off of your phone app and the adapter works as a remote. So it has to be close to the A/C. But impressed with the price and functions. On issue or drawback (on my A/C) is you have to set the A/C to high before you leave house. Can't control temps or fans speed by the app. But it gets my place cool before I get there. All I'm was worried about. I recommend this product.
