Great gift!
One day at work, I was in a meeting with some of my team and I used Etch A Sketch as an example for explaining something. Half of the people in the room had no idea what I was talking about. Turns out that this just wasn't a thing in the country where these guys are from and they'd never seen one. I didn't want to get a full sized one just to show them what it was, so I grabbed this pocket one as a gift for one of the guys. He was over the moon, and a few of them sat in a room examining it, asking how long the batteries lasted and it was a very hard sell to convince them that these don't need power to run. This lead to research into how they actually worked and a lot of learning for the whole team. Back story aside, this is very portable and still has the full Etch A Sketch functionality. Obviously there's not really been any compromise to how it functions to make it so small. Corners and turns are still super smooth. Still accurate rendering on the panel. And I've since heard back that this colleague has been giving it to his kids as a toy (which they love) and it's still functioning and unbroken, so defiantly built to last like the original ones.

Great for On-The-Go Activities
Recently purchased the Ohio Art Pocket Etch A Sketch, and it's a nostalgic delight. The compact size is convenient, and the classic knobs provide a satisfying way to create simple drawings. Durable build ensures it withstands everyday use. Great for on-the-go entertainment without the need for batteries. Overall, a fun and timeless toy.

Small and fun, but a bit limited
To be honest, the advantage of having a small, light etchasketch is somewhat offset by having a limited drawing space and hence requiring an even more retentive approach to twisting and turning the nobs if you want to produce something recognisable. This works well as temporary diversion but would probably not satisfy the etchasketch aficionado unless they were craving a challenge, or needed to travel very light.

amazing
I had to change my review because I realized that I made a mistake. When you first draw on it, it leaves residue of your mark there permanently and that bothered me. Once you play around with it for long enough and cover the surface area, the whole screen turns the same lighter grey color and then it looks like new. This is a great size to travel with.

Rip off Do NOT buy.
These arrived a few minutes ago. The screens on both look dusty with particles showing up on the screen. Shaking them did not get rid of them or clean the screen. These are defective, broken, crap and I just went to return them and they are not eligible for return. Imagine that? Take a crap defective product and give the buyer NO recourse. I bought TWO so I am out $25.00. I bought these for a charity for impoverished kids who have no toys. So, I can't give them a BROKEN toy. So, I will throw them out. I am very angry.

Disappointed
I have been searching for the pocket etch a sketch at multiple stores, browsing the aisles with diminishing hope and leaving empty handed. Even the Ohio Art official store site did not carry them. I was overwhelmed with joy when I came across the true original pocket etch a sketch, which has the Ohio Art logo and the word "pocket" written on the etch a sketch itself as indicated by the picture used to advertise this product on Amazon. I ordered 3 but wanted more. The package arrived promptly, and I opened it immediately. Oh great disappointment! I found inside the box 3 versions of the new pocket etch a sketch ( which are easy to find in several stores). This new version of the toy is slightly smaller than the original pocket etch a sketch; it does not bear the logo nor does it have the word "pocket" on it. I feel duped by the false advertisement and further frustrated that I can not locate my favorite toy/ art medium. I will be returning this purchase and will be extra cautious and more reluctant to purchase an etch a sketch when buying online in the future. Very dissatisfied, Erin

Awesome!
Im so happy you can still buy these! I found one at a garage sale and my students all love playing with it so I ordered this one. It's just like the other one and works great but it's brand new! Awesome for kids with sensory needs and ADHD.

sono rimasto veramente stupito dalla qualità di questa lavagnetta.. ho anche il modello molto più grande, ma mi diverto di più con questa perche ha un tratto molto fine e preciso..

I bought two of these etch-a-sketches for my two daughters for a long plane flight. They kept my five year old busy, but were too abstract for my two year-old. They have the same robustness I expect from a larger etch-a-sketch, and work the same as any other etch-a-sketch I've seen. They were small enough to fit two into my large purse, making it easy to pull them out when a "crisis" arose.

Kaufempfehlung!
