Fast shipping and the smolder products smell great. The razor is probably the best Chinese blade you will find. It's a great starter kit. With review of their site they offer kits with better quality razors. Razor was ready to shave with out of the box. Would suggest getting yourself a better strop if you enjoy this type of shaving. Like I said for the price it's hard to beat this kit for a beginner.

Very good kit, it's my first straight razor that isn't a shavette and it's fantastic. It does come shave ready, but I suggest stropping it first. The preshave, aftershave and soap are all quite pleasently scented. I have no input on the brush because I just use my badger hair brush instead, but the brush that comes with the kit has a very nice look,

Honestly, I almost don't know if my issues were worth taking a star. Pros: The razor is solid. I've had it for a while now, still shaves smooth without having sent it off for the professional treatment. Strop is very decent leather, came bent but not creased, very useable. Love the scent of the soap and pre/after shaves. Cons: only that the brush does not pick up a particularly great lather (blame that on it being a silicon fiber), and after a few uses the head came right out of the handle. That made a mess. With the brush complaint aside, this was a budget starter kit for shaving with a straight razor and it was more than worth what I paid for it, in my opinion. Will be buying myself a better brush, and I'll be set for years.

The products are great, the blade feels good on the strop also. Blade is sharp and ready when you first get it. Had a good clean shave several times using the razor.

This is the perfect kit to see if straight razor shaving is right for you! I was hesitant after reading a few bad reviews, but I'm glad I went for it...had a few issues trying to get into the groove stropping, and figuring out the soap, coming from a disposable razor and can of shaving cream it was a bit to get used to at once, but I love it!

Only buy this kit if you want pre shave oil, shave soap, and aftershave that leave you smelling good with decent ingredients. Other than that the razor out of the box sucks, the box for the razor sucks, the strop is a joke, and they make you feel better by giving you a sticker and a discount code for their sites ( rc1050 ). The handle for the razor is an appalling joke, the razor is not "shave ready", you can't use the strop to try to help it either due to it being a disgusting embarrassment to strops everywhere. I will likely find a completely different razor that isn't as much of a project to get into useable shape. It might be a good steel (don't know for sure) but it's not useable unless your equipped with a means of sharpening it properly, and already have a good strop. All in all if looking at this kit I would ask myself before buying it if just the oil, soap, aftershave, and brush are all worth the cost. Personally im feeling like I barely am ok with it but am more on the side of it not being worth it.

Absolutely wonderful. The handle feels cheap, but you get what you pay for. The blade stays sharp for long time- iv has it for over 3 years and as long as you take care of the blade, you’ll be golden. The scent is very nice addition.
