Expensive, but worth it.
We used these with our last baby, and with baby #4 Due any day now I knew I needed to stock up on Flip inserts again before this little guy is born.I have to say I really love flip inserts....we’ve used prefolds, flips, hemp inserts and other off brand inserts and nothing really compares to these.Pros:One, hands down they’re the most trim option I’ve been able to find. A flip insert with a cover is ALMOST as trim as a disposable diaper, yet they hold up very well to super soakers like the last kiddo I had in diapers. It‘ was rare that we would find him soaked, even after him sleeping through the night for ten or twelve hours. Two, they’re just easy. No folding, no worrying about a squirmy baby, no needing to use a snappi. Just lay the insert down, lay the baby down, close up the diaper and you’re good to go! My husband, although pretty easy going about almost all styles of cloth, prefers these over even pockets (which he doesn’t even have to stuff). He likes how trim they are and the fact that you don’t have to change the cover every time you do a diaper change, and he doesn’t have to mess with trying to tri-fold a prefold.Cons:I’m not a huge fan of microfiber and definitely wish there where more options. While Cottonbabies does make an organic option, they are more similar to prefolds in their design and in my opinion they lose two of their biggest assets—-their trimness and their ease of use—-which makes them just expensive organic thin prefolds. Microfiber gets smelly very quickly, requires more frequent stripping and just is a bit more of a pain than cotton inserts.Second, price. I said in the intro they’re expensive and thy definitely lose a star for price. A dozen green mountain diaper prefolds will run you anywhere from $13-15....these are $14.95 for SIX newborn inserts, and the One size option only gives you THREE, which is even worse.Despite the price, I still strongly recommend these. They’re just easy and they work really well. Also, they hold up quite nicely so if you need them for multiple kids you won’t be disappointed by how they look a year or two after buying them.Would recommend.

Absolutely THE BEST inserts for the Flip Cloth Diapering System
I absolutely love these inserts! I originally bought three types of inserts for the Flip diaper cover system: Flip brand, Alva Baby bamboo, and Naturally Nature bamboo. After 6 months of use, the two bamboo brands started to feel stale and hard (which could have to do with my drying method - now that I have started being more gentle with them, they are softening up again). The Flip inserts, however, remained super soft, even through my tough drying methods! The price is much higher for less inserts, but if you want to have forever soft inserts against your baby's bum, then the Flip brand is the best to go with. When I originally bought the inserts before baby was born, I was worried that I would never be able to get the stains out from baby poo - which is why I bought so many bamboo inserts. The Flip inserts I originally bought have a couple stains, but that was before I really learned how to take care of the inserts. I recently bought more inserts and they are still sparkly clean looking! Its all about care when it comes to poo stains. With baby sleeping through the night, the stay dry inserts don't make the cut anymore, but we just put two inserts in at bedtime and she is leak-free until morning.I will also mention that the Flip diaper inserts are longer than the other bamboo brands I used. The Flip inserts have the benefit that they have the seam to show you where to fold it (Small, Medium, and Large). However, the bamboo brand inserts that I bought are only as big as the "Medium" setting in the flip diapers, so they may not work once baby is in the "Large" setting. More reason to go with the brand the covers were meant for!

Very soft and absorbent
I am new to CD and have only tried these for a few days with the flips, but so far I like them a lot. They are very soft and absorbent and don't seem to irritate my son's skin. The only cons so far I would say is that since he's only 6 weeks old they're quite large and bulky, they do have markers for small, medium and large but when you fold it over to make it small it makes the diaper very large, I almost can't snap a onesie over it. But I know as he gets older that will be less of an issue. The other thing I wonder about is that it doesn't seem to keep the moisture from his skin, it absorbs very well, there's nothing pooling in the diaper, so maybe that's just how cloth diapers are. I might try other fabrics or liners to see if that helps... Over all I like them a lot.

Best Inserts--Highly Recommend
These are by far our favorite inserts. They absorb quite a bit and the best part is that they feel dry to the touch unless they are super saturated. We've been cloth diapering for three months now. We use a combination of Flip covers, gDiapers, Assunta covers, Kawaii pockets, Flip stay dry inserts, Kawaii inserts, and the gDiaper cloth inserts. We prefer the Flip stay dry inserts hands down as they absorb quite a bit more than the other cloth inserts and fit in all of our various diapers.Pros:1.) Great price2.) Adjustable fit3.) Wash well and repel stains4.) Most absorbant insert in our cloth diapering stash5.) Feel dry to the toughCons:1.) Even when cared for exactly as the manufacturer recommends, they can get a bit of the stinkys towards the end of the month. This is easily overcome by using the 1/4 cup of bleach that the manufacturer recommends to be used once a month. Please let me know if this review was helpful by voting below :)
