Great for beginners, highly recommended
This board is perfect for beginners. For the price, you get an amazing board. Everything came well built, and in excellent shape. Haven't had an problems cruising so far. It's hard to turn at first as the board is brand new and needs to be broken in, but otherwise it was ready to go out of the box.I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to get into longboarding. In the future I may change out the wheels to fit my personal taste, but otherwise I love this board. I only use it for traveling, no serious downhill stuff or tricks, so I can't say if it's good for that. If I had to guess I'd say it's not ideally suited for those actions.Edit: 2020I bought this board almost 4 years ago and I still love it. Got me through college, rode it in the rain, in the snow, everything. I never used it for anything more than cruising. I've since gotten into electric boards and OneWheels. But this baby was the first longboard, and the start of a love for the sport.

Great buy!
Bought this a week ago and I must say it's a great board for a great price. I'm no expert (first longboard) but I have no complaints so far and didn't wanna dish out $200 for a Sector 9 on my first one. It's a good midsize (the 44" seems too long and bulky to carry around) but the 34" is the perfect size... smoother than a normal skateboard, but more balanced than those smaller plastic boards. A couple reviews have stated changing out the wheels but I've seen no reason to so far.I've been cruising and already feel pretty comfortable- obviously be careful on bigger cracks but that's on any board. It's pretty addicting and super fun to ride around town.

Great bamboo board! For all ages and experience levels
I have one of my own (same exact one), for almost 8 years now! We bought this most recent one for a 13 year old cousin that wanted to try long boarding. She is a total beginner and this was the perfect fit for her. Great size, great price, and nothing too complicated. She loves it and is learning quickly. Also, she’s made sure to wear her safety gear! Definitely recommend! So should any beginner or any age and especially kids at any experience level.

The HONEST and TRUE review
So the deck itself is made out of bamboo and maple which is pretty nice and built very well. The grip tape is good it's not great but it works fine even if it rains. I read some reviews talking about the trucks and honestly they aren't perfect and squeak but if you add wax shavings to all the pieces of the truck the sqeaking should stop and that made it 10x better. The wheels are soft but perfect for a beginner and perfect for cruising. The only real complaint about this board is the bearings. The bearings have non-removable shields and aren't that good of quality to begin with. I highly recommend buying new ones like bones red or oust. Even if you don't opt in for getting the new bearings they will work but it does require a little more kicking but nothing too extreme. Also when it arrives it will come covered in plastic so I recommend to loosen the top screws and bottom ones (don't take it completely off unless you want to) and just remove all pieces of plastic. Also loosen up the nuts on the wheels because they are on way to tight and rescricts some movement (quick tip if you hear rattling coming from the board that's totally okay just tighten the king pin and you should be ready to go also the wax helps) This board can also hold quite a lot of weight I've seen this board hold up to 220 lbs so any heavier riders should be okay. Overall this board is awesome regardless of its flaws perfect for beginners and I would highly recommend.

Great Cruiser for All Ages
This is our son's first board, he's 6 and he did great! He feels confident on it. My husband and I also enjoyed it! My balance is not great, but it was a smooth ride. Its great for the price, any beginner or "old timer" will enjoy it!

Super awesome board
Super awesome board! Smooth, comfortable, and not too big. I'm a first time skater, using it primarily to get it around my university campus. It wasn't too hard to learn how to skate, especially with a board as smooth as this was. My friend had bought a cleaper $30 board a couple weeks before me and his broke down yesterday. This Quest board (mine) is still in tip top shape even after being ridden on and itself into numerous things as I slip from it haha. Definitely a great investment for first time skaters looking to travel long distances with half the work.

Pretty Good for the Price
I haven't skated in years. My girlfriend really wants to surf so I got us a pair of these boards so we could practise together. It is an excellent value if you just bear in mind a couple of things:1. The bottom layer of the board is bamboo, not the whole thing. It looks cool, but you're not getting the spring that I hear full bamboo gives.2. The trucks are not the worlds greatest. There is a little too much play in them, but it hasn't really been an issue riding.3. The bearings are acceptable so far, not the smoothest, but ok. I don't expect they'll hold up, so that would be my only immediate upgrade.
