Quality
A well made egg poacher which oozes quality. On my first use I added half an inch of water to the pan as per instructions and brought to a boil then turned the heat down to a gentle simmer. I had previously lightly coated the cups with a little Olive oil using kitchen paper then added the eggs, careful not to break the yolks. I placed the lid and left for 5 minutes. They poached brilliantly and slid out of the cups with a little help from the included spatula and left the cups with little or no residue and a quick rinse under the they were was all it needed to clean them The yolks were comparable to a medium boiled egg consistency so for a runnier yolk I would suggest a cook time of around 4 minutes or so. I'm glad I bought this item instead of a cheaper one, it is a quality product and with a little experimentation with cook times to achieve your perfect poached egg to your liking and not forgetting to lightly oil the cups I reckon this product will last a very long time. Highly recommended.

Good quality heavy pan
Good quality heavy pan. Works well for large eggs. Agree with other reviews that the inner handles get hot and make it a little tricky to hold as you need oven gloves or similar(I do anyway).

Built to last
Well made. Worth paying a bit more for the quality. Cooked eggs perfectly and easy to clean. Seems like it's built to last. Very happy with it so far!

Great for when you are on prep / cutting. Use it with a 1kcal spray, it works fine.

Nicely poached eggs
Since I've never had much success poaching with the "crack the egg into swirling water" method, I decided to buy the Eggssentials poacher. My first experience wasn't too great because I forgot to smear the metal poaching cups with olive oil, and the subsequent washing took a while. Next time I remembered to spray a little olive oil into the cups and smeared it around. I find it easier if I balance the poaching cup holder with the cups in place between two mugs, and then crack the eggs into them. At the same time the pan, with about a half inch of water, has come to the boil on the hob. After placing the cup holder with cups on the pan, and then the lid, I leave about six minutes, or a little less, before checking the eggs with the handy little spatula. The poached eggs usually require loosening around the edge with the spatula, and then slide out easily. The cup's little knobs get very hot, and I grip them with a piece of folded kitchen towel. The cups may now be cleaned easily with a soapy sponge. Job done - nicely poached eggs.

Great piece of kit
This is far and away the best egg poaching pan I've ever used. The build is really solid. I am mad for poached duck eggs and a great frustration for me in the past is that duck eggs are usually way too large for the pots you place the eggs in, meaning that the white overflows. Not a problem with this pan, I've put extra large duck eggs in and there is plenty of room. It also comes with a handy spatula especially designed to lever the cooked eggs out without breaking them, but if you have enough oil in the poaching pot it should slide out anyway. I cannot recommend this egg poaching pan enough!

Great pan
Having experienced many years of frustration in trying to find the perfect way to poach an egg, that resulted in lots or gadgets & gizmos but always inevitably ended in my resorting back to a pan of boiling water & a mess to get out of said pan later, I stayed with family who presented us with the perfect poached eggs. Curious I enquired how they had managed such a masterpiece & was shown their egg poaching pan. I admit, I’d seen these before but had not invested due to some poor reviews, however I was now invested to find one as good as theirs (which they have had for many years) since clearly they were out there. Whilst more expensive than I would like, I picked this one up in the sales & first impressions are great. I produced a perfect poached egg in 4 minutes following the simple instructions to make sure I didn’t over fill the pan with water. The provided spatula was a great tool for popping them out the cups since my spatulas were a bit big & risked breaking my runny yolks. So, as long as it lasts more than 5 minutes, I think it’s safe to say I’ve finally cracked it (pun totally intended)
