BEST LIGHT DUTY TOOL IN MY FLEET!! CHEAP AND EVERYONE SHOULD OWN ONE!
Oh man! LOVE this! Very smoothly stepped variable speed. push button to turn on. Nice LED light comes on with pushing button. Then, rotate your wrist CW or CCW and the tool follows your direction! So RAD! The further you twist, the faster it turns. You can also transition from fwd to rev without having to push the button a second time. Let go and it stops. Every time you press the button the gyro resets to zero. I have used this to run in all sorts of hardware and the battery lasts MUCH longer than I expected... Actually, honestly, I have not even ran it dead yet!!!!! The charge time is 12hrs(full dead to full charge). 6hrs would give you 50%, etc etc...... SO... I am glad it lasts long on a charge! I will note, the battery is internal and NOT removable... Sooo..... I literally go out of my way to use this every day. haha. A friend and I took apart his blown up riding lawnmower engine the other day. We broke each bolt loose with a ratchet and then used this(excuse to use this) to un-drive all the hardware to the ENTIRE engine. Battery still didn't die.... I have a Milwaukee 18v impact driver that would have made this job even easier but I am just proving a point that this little gyro driver has a great battery life... Dewalt also makes one of these gyro drivers and while it is AWESOME, also(used a friends which prompted me to search for this), it is expensive($65), TWICE the size and overkill for any basic small job. I hope all the brand companies(Hitachi, Milwaukee, Ryobi, etc) follow suit and make gyro drivers in larger and smaller varieties. Thank you multi-rotor community(drones) for allowing accelerometers to drop in price enough to use them on tools like this!!! A+++ here!

Sweet little Gyro Gizmo !
Love this silly little thing! Hope B&D doesn't stop making them. It works beautifully to Wind our 30 day clock and various small jobs. Cool variable Gyro Gizmo speed thingy .... You just twist a little to the right it slowly then rapidly turns Clockwise... Same turning to the left to CCW… This will be my 2nd one hopefully it works as great as the first! I may get a third one! I have plenty of highend Bosch, Milwaukee, Makita drills and drivers. This is only for small stuff in the kitchen and a Quickie in the shop. And the lithium battery, is wonderful.… Always charged for the clock for 4-5 mo. so far. I immediately purchased a Dewalt DWA2500 bit holder, cut 1/2" or so off the 1/4" shaft with Dremel cutoff wheel and epoxied it in the thing for bits to lock. (See pic below) 100% more useful now! And stupid little flashlight in the tip is just a Bonus.. lol!Kind of hard to believe some nut on the www is trying to sell one for $157 and only $30 for shipping… Say what!!!! Lmao!Sorry for the fireman dude & other 1 Starer's that got a dud ;( ... Notice the rest of us are 5 star.

My most often recommended tool
Love this little thing. I don't think I've had any other tool I wanted to show off so much, and even gave one away as a gift. For me it felt pretty natural and intuitive and after a bit of use it just works like an extension of my hand.I was surprised by the power it has, I've got a big dewalt 18V hammer drill (Which has taken 15 yrs of abuse and keeps on ticking) but I'm surprised how often I can get by with just this little guy. It can drive a 3" drywall screw into a 2x4. Granted it bogs down a bit and you'll quickly drain the battery but it can do it in a pinch. The benefit of the lithium Ion battery, besides the long use time and light weight is that it retains its charge well, so if it's been sitting unused in a drawer for a few months you can pull it out and it will just work, unlike the old ni-cad screwdrivers that always seemed to be dead.I have couple of complaints that Black & Decker could fix. The LED is offset too far from the tip so it usually focuses an inch or so away from what you need to see. They could use surface mount LEDs to get right near the tip, which would be especially useful with those black drywall screws in dim locations where it's hard to tell if you are lined up correctly. The other complaint is the lack of a bit holder, it's nice to have a slot and a Phillips bit on hand. I superglued a little neodymium magnet to hold a spare bit on top of the drill.I see a number of negative reviews from people who got frustrated with it after a few minutes and returned it. I think a good portion of them probably received it as a gift and were wondering what kind of new fangled gadget they'd been cursed with as opposed to the more technically inclined consumers who saw the gyro function advertised and thought hey that sounds cool I'll give that a try. I think previous exposure to smart phones or game controllers with gyros helps you know what to expect. Regardless of how you come across it, give it a chance, more then a few minutes. I'm pretty sure if you give it enough time to get used to it, it'll be the first thing you go for, for most light duty tasks.
