Go Ahead and Take a Chance on this Saw
I have not received anything for this review. I am not affiliated with this company.I was very leery about purchasing this saw. It had 8 reviews. Saw is made in China. Not a good sign. There are no other reviews I was able to locate. But I needed a compact light weight saw that could cut 2X. This saw cuts at a depth of 1 11/16". I wanted a cordless circular saw for convenience. However, I have been wary of cordless circular saws since I purchased one in the early 2000's and it could not rip a 1/2" sheet of plywood. I wanted to buy the Makita but it is only 12V and cannot cut 2X. So I took a leap--hoping it was not jumping off a cliff. The saw was delivered on time. The saw appears well made and is very comfortable to use.The saw comes with only one battery. I emailed the company and asked about purchasing a second battery. They responded within less than 12 hours. New batteries are available at $39.99 including shipping from the company directly. They stated that within the month (so about October 2019) AMAZON will be selling additional batteries.I used the saw today for the first time. I did not use the blades that came with the saw. I used a Diablo 4 1/2" circular saw blade with 24 teeth. This saw cut through a 2x6 with ease. It cut through another 2x6 that was nail embedded like butter. I then cut through cedar shingles nailed to 1/2" plywood. This saw worked as easily as my Dewalt.https://www.amazon.com/DEWALT-DWE575SB-Lightweight-Circular-Electric/dp/B007QUZ16A/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1Y1AHQ9SLFQAI&keywords=dewalt+lightweight+circular+saw&qid=1568941969&s=gateway&sprefix=dewalt+lightw%2Caps%2C174&sr=8-1I must say I am flabbergasted. This little saw is astonishing. It is super lightweight. It cuts accurately along the laser line. However, the laser is a little hard to see in bright light. The cut is smooth (not Forrest glue line smooth but smooth for a Skill saw). The controls work like they should and are just like your regular Skill saw. It never bogged down. It is so light it feels like a toy, but it zips through wood like a regular 7 1/4" plug-in saw. Wow. Just Wow.If you need a small, light, powerful, cordless circular saw to cut 2x or less--this saw is your answer. I never write reviews but after using this saw and the paucity of reviews, I felt I had to. It is amazing.

Lightweight yet powerful
The media could not be loaded. I'm in the process of framing out walls in my basement as the first step to finishing it. I got this saw because the current circular saw I have has a short cord and I don't have great access to outlets in my basement, so I figured a battery operated saw was the way to go. I have gotten a few products from this company in the past and have been happy with how they have been working so far so I figured I would give this one a try. I wasn't disappointed. One of the things I enjoy about products from EnerTwist is that they come with the battery but cost roughly the same as the name brand competitors without a battery. That is a big win in my book. Beyond that, the tools are solid. They feel as rugged as any of the other brand name tools I have used.If you are working with 2x4s this is the saw for you. Unlike my corded circular saw, it has enough power to get through with ease, without having so much kick that you are worried about a loose piece of wood flying back at you. Because it is lightweight it is easy to manipulate and I feel confident that I have good control over where it is cutting. It comes with three different types of blades: wood, metal and concrete/tile. I only used the wood so far, but it was certainly sharp enough to get through a 2x4. I plan to try the tile next when I get to the flooring phase of my project.Overall, very happy. Would recommend this to any DIYer.

Was awesome for a short time
UPDATE:The company did work with me and send me a new one at no charge. The new one has worked so far. I was told that it was a newer version that has had the faults of the previous fixed. Due to this I am updating my review from a 1 star to a 4 star. I will change to a 5 if it continues to hold up.ThanksAt first I loved this thing. Had a few small things I used it for and it was great. I used it a few times on the road when I picked up lumber and was able to cut longer boards to fit them in my trailer. I did nothing but praise the saw. However when it came time to put this to the test on an actual project it failed me. I used it to cut the ends off of 4 sheets of plywood then I noticed it would stop in the middle of cutting. I checked and the battery was ok so I continued but it would still act up, not wanting to do a continuous cut. Keep in mine this is about a 2ft line on plywood no 2x4 or anything like that which it still should cut just fine. I then charged it overnight and went out to use it again the next morning and it just got worse until it would not cut. You could hear it spinning inside but the blade would not turn. I took the blade off and broke it down to see if there was anything caught up but found nothing. If this thing would hold up I would be more than happy with the saw. It also chaps me a little that this happens after the return window which everyone knows that's how it goes.So maybe if you want to cut a few decking boards to fit in your trailer that are too long this will work for you but this particular saw for me did nothing past that.I wish I had something better to say,Thanks and if by some chance the company honors a replacement or service and that one works I will certainly update my review then.

It does the job for me.
I bought the Enertwist circular saw for making accurate cuts on 4 ft. by 8 ft. plywood panels as thin as 1/4 inch. On a test run the 24 tooth blade with the depth at 1/2 in. makes clean and accurate cuts without leaving a feathered edge which would happen with a regular saw. And I think it will be handier to use supporting the panel on foam insulation, rather than a jig saw with the up-and - down blade travel that you have to allow for in supporting the work. I wanted a bit more description in the use manual, like an exploded view of the drive shaft, and description of the battery and charger. The discharge nozzle came off several times -it is too loose a fit unless I clamp it with a hose clamp. Otherwise it is easy to use, well balanced and good safety features.
