RL Flo-Master 65HR8 Retractable Hose Reel, 65 Feet, Brown

Rolling and Coiling hoses is not my favorite things to do. I am using my 3rd RL Flo-Master now. The mount and mechanisms work well. I did change the nozzle to one of my own preferences. I pull it out with the water on first as it seems to roll out easier. It can be a tug stretching to within 10 ft of the end. But it is so convenient to not have to lug and take time to coil 50-60 ft of hose. By the way. Wet your hands when retracting as it makes the hose slide smoother if you guide it. It isn't always necessary but it helps keep it from kinking as it comes in fast. .Also turn the water off before you do and hold the nozzle open to empty it. The mount swivels 180 degrees to move in several directions. I put a hook on it and another on the wall with a short line to keep it in place. I usually go only in one direction and the swiveling around can get in the way. Mounting it I had to drill four holes in the concrete wall. But when a new one was purchased the new one simply slipped over the old mounting rod. The extra Flo-master is mounted on a 4"x4" wood post(I used long nuts and bolts...one went through the post and the other along side but it works. I am sure I could have found some U-bolts the right size also. Having had 3 I have experienced most issues I am guessing. One has lasted about 5 years now and is still used often, but that last few feet does not always get rolled up...till the next time I used it then sometimes it goes all the way in. No problem as I just lay that little bit of hose on top. Another lasted about 2 years and began to leak internally. I took it apart but was unable to repair a broken piece. I did save some of the parts(just in case) and immediately purchased another. I would say I would buy one again if I find the need. knowing it will not last forever, it does provide a lot of convenience everyday used to more than make up that fact.

I've been struggling for years to get my mom the right combination of hose, wand, fittings, and most importantly a seemless way to store it all. I grew up with my mom using the cheapest wire hose hook money can buy. It was poorly hung with nails, rusting, and left bends in the hose when you went to use it. I sought to replace all that with my knowledge from working in home depot's garden center. On my first attempt I bought a 50ft neverkink heavy duty hose, orbit pro spray nozzle, a suncast hose real and a bunch of quick disconnects to make swapping the spray nozzle and sprinkler easier. Well the hose reel worked for a few months, but I was the only one who could reel it properly and the hose kept getting loose on the reel, which created a constant pool of water below it and killed the grass. We also could have used a longer hose, but we made it work. The suncast hose reel was all plastic and costed about $30, but there really wasn't any other affordable options out there that were any different, just dressed in storage boxes at a higher price. The lowest price metal hose reel I could find that was worth the extra cost was around $80 and a longer hose costed about $40-$50. At that point I started questioning if this really was the best way after I spent the same time and effort finding a good combination of hose and reel that ultimately failed. I remembered that we have this awesome self retracting hose reel at work that had been around for quite a long time, so I started researching it. Apparently this was the exact same one we had at work and it ended up being the most affordable and highly rated option with a standard 3/4" hose. Because I already had one at work, I already knew all the ways it could possibly break, so I decided to get one, and I was not disappointed. The box it arrived in was a bit sketchy, and the reel did have two black scratches on one side of it, but it ended up being perfect! I mounted it to my deck with some corrosion resistant hexcap bolts I bought at home depot and it couldn't have been easier. The hose reel has a handle and it comes off the mount just by removing a single pole, this way you can store it during the winter to increase it's lifespan. As soon as my mom saw the giant box, she looked at me like I just bought another ridiculous thing, but she ended up loving it. Finally I can get my mom to put the hose away properly and not leave massive pools of water in the lawn. I couldn't be happier with this product and though I know it's not indestructible, I know how it's put together and where all the points of failure are because of the one from work.

Like many of the reviews I’ve read about this product and the manufacture, my disappointment is is off the charts. I’ll admit, it was easy to install and worked well at first. After a successful couple of weeks with the first one I purchased, I bought three more but soon thereafter all four failed and I’m only writing this review after deciding to throw them out.They simply fail to recoil the entire hose. At first the recoil is inconsistent, but eventually there’s 10-20 feet of hose that won’t recoil on all four reels 100% of the time. The manufacturer offered some solutions like, “pull it all the way out in an attempt to reset it”, “empty the hose of water and then try and reset it”, and then the one I liked the most was, “don’t try to take it apart and fix it as it is spring loaded and may cause injury if you don’t know how to release the tension on the spring.”. The last email from customer service essentially told me to throw them out. This response inspired me to write this review because they only suggested it upon the last of the four reels was just past the return date.

Update! Seller made it right and we are so pleased. Great company and would purchase again. If you have a problem contact them and they said only thing they may have to do is charge you s/h. Really fast prompt service. Very pleased.Bought this for my husband for his june birthday. Set up end of june. Loved it. Went away twice in july and august.. so id say we used it a handful of times between those times. Great product and worked well. Its not sept 9 and it stopped winding up last week. I had it looked at and it appears the springs inside must be snapped or something. You cant open it. It comes premade and wound up. I mean maybe i could but then it probably wont be put back together. Really sucks for the price that it didnt last for years. We didnt do anything to it so maybe i just got a bad one or maybe its not quality. Anyway it was great until it randomly stopped winding.

Ideal para jardinería. Me gusta como se retrae la manguera. Muy facil de usar. Lo que no me gusto son los tornillos de instalacion. Si quieres fijarla a un muro estos no te sirven.

Went out to use my hose today and was shocked to find out the the spray nozzle was already broken. The round plastic piece in the neck of the nozzle was broken! Now the good part! When I called this company they answered almost immediately and the very kind lady there listened and when she heard my problem told me that she would send a new spray nozzle to me right away. Its almost unheard of these days to get such a quick and courteous response.

Es la segunda manguera que compro. La primera me duró alrededor de 8 años con un excelente servicio. Al final el carrete retráctil dejó de funcionar y por eso tuve que comprar una nueva, con las mismas características. Ha sido una excelente compra y buen producto.

Install was easy, just get 4 bolts for whatever it is you are mounting it to. I installed this inside my garage, and noticed that when the water pressure was on and you pulled the hose it would leak a little. Turned off the water over the winter months, and in the spring, turned it back on and basically had a waterfall in my garage. Complete waste of money. Thanks for the refund Amazon
