Nice and sturdy for a laminated paper map. We are tracking places we have visited and put the map on a foam backer board to put mini-pins in locations. IT has worked well. It is not as detailed as we had hoped, but that is to be expected with the small size.

Map was perfect for displaying in my classroom.

I bought this for the elementary school library I work at. I liked this map because of its size, lamination, and update to include South Sudan, which some maps miss. I used pushpins to hold it in place on the wall before I stapled it but I was surprised to find that it easily ripped under the pins. I hoped the lamination would have prevented some of those rips, but that's the only drawback for me.

This has a coating on it that makes the paper moisture proof. It's not as thick as regular plastic laminate but it serves it's purpose. I hung this large map in 3 minutes with a helper by using a tape gun (see photo) with 2 inch wide transparent packing tape applied full length to all edges of the map. Tape gun is similar to this one. After mounting map to wall, I went to the store and bought 2 12 foot lengths of 1 3/4 inch band moulding. I painted the moulding a deep blue color and used a cheap miter jig and saw to cut proper miters. It all went together perfectly and now looks professionally framed. Gets lots of compliment.

A Great Christmas gift for my 7 years old son.More valuable gift than iPad or Xbox.He likes a lot and posted on living room wall.Expect a little thicker and stronger paper.Happy with the product.

The map is very nice and a perfect wall size. The lamination isn't as thick as I was expecting. It will work okay for our needs but I don't think we'll be using dry erase markers on it like they say you can. Which I'm really bummed about because I was hoping to trace exploration paths on it while learning about different explores in history with my kids.

Great map! I loved how big it was and good detail too. Used tacks to put on wall and it looks great! Using with my kids (and myself) to teach geography. I bought this as a 'damaged returned item' and saved a lot of money and was pleasantly surprised that there were only two 1 inch tears on the white edges that were easily fixed with clear packing tape.
