One day when I put on my computer glasses, one of the lenses popped out! The screw on that side had worked its way loose and was now gone -- at least I finally found the lens. No going to stores because of Covid, so Amazon came to the rescue with this quite complete and very reasonably priced kit. The screws are grouped by diameter/thread pitch, with the two largest diameters having many choices of length, and fewer choices for the smaller diameter screws. It's pretty easy to find the size you need by carefully trying out a few different screws and gently trying to screw them in. Although the screwdrivers ARE magnetic, the screws they supply are NOT, which is why the tweezers are needed.Among the many types of precision screwdrivers were ones that fit both the new screw that repaired my glasses (philips head) and the old somewhat loose screw on the other side (slotted head). Now I can see clearly again to type this review (after using the included microfiber cleaning cloth to get my fingerprint smears off my good-to-go glasses).

This eyeglass kit is an outstanding value.I fixed three sets of eyeglasses within 15 minutes of receiving this perfect versatile kit.The screw selection and storage box are first class. The tools are much better quality than anticipated after reading a few mixed reviews.True the screws are not able to be picked up with a magnetic driver, but that’s not a big issue because there is an included surgical pair of tweezers that really makes the job easy.This product is powerful testimony to the benefits conferred on consumers when they have a wide selection and robust competition from different vendors. Outstanding value and very good quality make this a five-star purchase. If you check my reviews you will see that I rarely if ever give five stars to any Amazon product. This one clearly deserves the honor.

If you look at the other kits you will notice that although they list a lot of different screw sizes, they are all the same diameter, 1.4mm, only the lengths are different. This kit has 1.2, 1.4 and 1.6mm diameters which means you will probably find one that fits. 1.4mm is the most common but some glasses will take the smaller 1.2 size. The case is taped around the edges like others have said, just cut the front and sides and leave the back piece of tape intact for a hinge. The top overlaps the bottom which makes it pretty secure, I added packaging tape to the back for my "hinge" and will keep it closed with a produce rubberband. The biggest problem with my kit is the 1.4 X 6.0 screws, the entire bin, they were not finished. There is no slot on the heads for a screw driver! So the 1.4 X 6.0 are pretty much useless but there are enough of the other lengths in 1.4 to make do. That's the reason I gave it 4 stars, but for the price you can't really complain, you get a LOT of stuff. A small issue is the tiny washers, mine were gone but when I started looking around I found them scattered around in the nearby compartments, they are so thin they slip out of their bin into neighboring bins. No big deal either as I doubt I will ever even use one. One last tip, the tweezers are great but keep the little plastic protector that comes on them because they are as sharp as a needle on the end! This kit will last a lifetime, if you can find it when you need it!

With covid19 my wife didn't want to have to go to out to see someone when an arm on her reading glasses broke that and couldn't be repaired with glue. I found similar arms on another pair but didn't have screws that would go through them and fit the eyeglasses. This kid had the perfect screws to solve that problem, as well as longer screws with nuts to fix an expensive pair of sunglasses that somehow lost a screw.Has what you need for lots of eyeglass repairs. The only thing I can say is magnetic tweezers would have been quite helpful as I lost a couple of those tiny nuts trying to start threading screws through them.

This is an excellent choice for fixing glasses and more. I've repaired 2 pairs right after receiving the kit and then have used the screw drivers 3 more times to change batteries in cases with very small screws. There are many size choices and fixes for nose pieces. My only complaint is the case isn't hinged and has no closing latch. I used someone else's suggestion to tape the back to use as a hinge and then a piece to keep it closed. That works. If the screws were magnetic it would make it easier but the tweezers do help. All in all I would purchase this kit again.

Wearing glasses since I was four and being a boy with all my child, young boy, growing lad, grade school, college, fatherhood, career, repair work, active energetic life style, retirement, and all the breaks, twists, tumbles, should have had this kit all my life. Now, 79, I can be at peace having this great parts repair kit and throw out pieces, parts, of frames, nose pads, odd screws, temples saved just for scrap parts. Even when other family members need minor repairs/parts, they all say check with David. Just a dynamite assembly of eye glasses parts and tools, even tweezers, screws drivers, nut driver. Thanks.

The product arrived on my door the very next day so delivery time was very quick. I like the packaging and will ensure that I do not misplace any of the items associated with the repair kit. My one negative is the fact the tools (screwdrivers) are not magnetic. If I had a strong magnetic, I could have made the tools magnetic but I did not have a strong magnetic to fix the issues. The tweezers in the kit did help a great deal so overall this is a good product.
