Aqueous Calamine Cream 100

If you ever get shingles, this is the cream to use. It helps the burning sensation and the itching.

I've suffered with at times severe hand eczema for the last 4 years. Just hoping to help someone because having this really sucks. Pompholyx is a skin condition (caused by contact allergies, food allergies, dust molds fungus etc ..not contagious) that only appears on the palms of the hands and/or soles of the feet. In the first stage of this annoying skin thing, tiny blisters form under the skin. Eventually the blisters come up and the skin forms deep painful cracks. The skin is left thickened and raw. It's very painful (keep-you-up-at-night pain/itching) and looks terrible. I wish I took before photos of my hands. Sort of. This cream is the only product I have found that simultaneously makes the blisters disappear AND heals the painful cracked dry skin. All other products that helped only took care of one symptom and at times made others worse. I've literally tried everything. Even prescriptions don't work. I only gave 4 stars because on the first use, it made my hands really itch. I tossed it aside and washed off my hands. I didn't expect to ever use it again. I've wasted hundreds of dollars this way. I also dont like some of the chemical ingredients in it.....liquid paraffin and some harsh alcohols. They arent things I want to slather on my skin daily. I only bought it because of the calamine and zinc, and I read a forum where someone else (!) healed their pompholyx specifically with aqueous calamine cream. The next day, I did a lot of house cleaning, and it left my hands extremely dry and painful (I try not to come in contact with any harsh products and dust so I wore gloves. .which keep sweat on the hands..which aggravates the skin..I recommend using cotton glove liners..which I didn't have at the time-of course). I was desperate for relief of the dry painful feeling so I grabbed this cream just to give it one more shot. And it worked. Instant pain relief. No itching this time. It's been three days of constantly applying this cream and I've had no negative reactions. The skin is healing much faster and blisters disappearing (nothing ever helped the blisters before). I'll take an after picture if this cream really does kick it 100%. It's not expensive so it's worth a try if you suffer from this!

I WAS REALLY EXCITED TO GET THIS PRODUCT. WHEN I DID GET IT, I NOTICED A BIG RED BOX ON THE BACK OF THE PACKAGEING, STATING THAT IT IS A FIRE HAZARD! ITEM IS NOT RETURNABLE. NOT HAPPY AT ALL!

Did not stop my itching. 😪

I love this product. Calamine I've found to buy in regular stores are all a runny liquid, hard to put on without getting all over the place and not staying where you want it. This is thick and can be directed exactly where you want it. Tube ended up being larger than I thought.

For the first time in 59 years I have got prickly heat on my forearms whilst driving in the heatwave and I’ve developed an awful sweat rash on my neck and intertrigo under my breasts and around my armpits. The itching and stinging has been unbearable. The rashes look bright red and are very unsightly and in some areas there are raised spots like blisters. I received this cream today and applied it immediately and the relief was instant. The redness has calmed down and in some areas has disappeared altogether and the pustules have shrunk. The relief is immense. For something so Inexpense it is absolutely amazing!
