I ordered two of these. In general I think they're good value for money. The microphone seems sensitive enough. There's a little bit of line noise (a faint whine) in the background (on my computer), but the quality is perfectly adequate for meetings etc. It comes with a reasonably sturdy tripod and various accessories.When you plug it in, it appears as a USB sound card and works fine under Linux - haven't tested Windows yet, but I see no reason to expect problems.The on/off switch on the side appears to disconnect the microphone but doesn't remove the USB device. I think this is reasonable.

This is a useful mike - pickup is a little dull but good for the prick. Useful for dictation or audio work.

The so-called cardioid pickup pattern is more like an omnidirectional mic. I tested in while stood in front of the mic, and standing at the other side of the room, and the volume was about the same. This is annoying as my flatmate and I both work from home, and I was trying to reduce the sound coming from him.Granted, the room I am in probably has lots of reflections, and I'm sat in front of a piano which probably reflects a lot of noise.Otherwise, it's an okay mic for the price.

I have been using this for my YouTube videos. It's been okay so far, the only thing I didn't expect was it to be so small, which was the only downside as you will probably need a box to put the tripod on so it can reach your mouth. Other than that, the sound is good. Not as clear as a Headset mic, but clear nonetheless. The condenser helps considerably in an echo filled room and if that isn't enough then you have another condenser to go with it. Great product for the price. Recommend this to any Noob starting out streaming games or videos etc.

Crashes when using the on/off switch, have to reset its built in sound card when doing this, and resetting the connection to the software or app your using (Windows 10) sound quality isn't much better than that of a laptop built in mic, very disappointing

It's not a bad little thing to get you started for vlogging or YouTube but you need to upgrade quickly.I got this as I started my own YouTube channel recently. Not a bad little thing to get you started, to get you used to recording your voice and things, but afterwards, you're going to need to upgrade.You do have to be in a quiet environment as this thing picks up the slightest background noise.The tripod is good and sturdy. No need to use the mesh cover as this is sensitive to all sound so you do not need to be close to it. Nice long usb cable so you can move it around nicely.

If you're thinking of buying this for music production, do not. It has, at least in my case, a very slight but distinct background buzz that is just enough to ruin a song. And if you're planning to record a live performance, the instruments must be within at most 1ft of the microphone otherwise their pitch will be ever so slightly distorted and twangy.However, I can't imagine that this would be a problem when using it for normal voice communications, and for it's price at just under £20, this microphone has a lot of equipment and sets itself a reasonably good standard considering.
