Norton 360 Deluxe 2025, Antivirus software for 5 Devices with Auto Renewal - Includes VPN, PC Cloud Backup & Dark Web Monitoring [Key Card]

Bottom line, I like the Symantec/Norton malware protection I get from this product. I have been using it for a couple of decades now (in its various forms). When Norton decided to go to the "subscription" model, I was not amused, but as written in the FAQs, one can buy a new license here for much less than the automated renewal, but it comes with a minor cost: You have to install the new license, at least on one computer.Here is what I did:1) Waited to get a good deal on this SW around the Black Friday time frame (to be installed at the end of the year).2) Waited until 45 days before the old license was set to expire then went online to discontinue the automated subscription (I messed up last year and paid full price).3) Waited until the day the old subscription expired.4) Uninstalled Norton 365 on my main machine.5) Rebooted.6) Installed the latest North 365 (per the instructions) and used the new Key when prompted.7) Went into MyNorton to assign the new Key to my other machines.7a) Had to uninstall and reinstall the code on my smartphone in order to apply the new Key to it. This was the only minor issue I had.This renewed subscription is now running on all my computers and my one phone as expected!!! At the reduced cost! Piece of cake.

You have to enter a debit/credit card before you install it even if you buy it from a retailer, they tell you they will email you a reminder a few weeks before it expires and you can choose to keep the subscription or not but they don't email you and charge your card $119.99 then you have to go through the hassle of contacting them to get your money back. If they charged you the usual Amazon price of around $30.00 that would be fine but they are going to gouge you for $120.00 for the same thing. The product itself works great to protect my computer, I don't have problems with it other than there is a lot of upselling through the year which gets to be annoying. If you are going to make a 360 product don't you think it would be all-inclusive and you wouldn't need to buy extra protection? High marks for protecting my computer/low marks for trying to dupe long-standing customers.

Norton antivirus is great

I purchased this item in November 2022. In February 2023, I went outside the country for a month. Seeing my Norton is about to expire, I tried to activate it. The update failed because it says that it is not for the region. (I did not know Norton has different region) So, I purchased an one year extension locally.This year, (after the extension I bought oversea is over), I tried to activate the Norton using the product key (thinking it is not being used). I am surprised to find out "the product is expired." I tried to contact Norton on the chat. A virtual agent come up. I demand a real person to explain the situation. So, they switch to a "real agent" and start chatting with me. After typing in my product key, the agent said that the product is expired in Feb. 9th and started to give me the sales pitch. The agent keep trying to sell me product and keep repeating that my product is expired. That is why I suspected that I am talking to a virtual agent. So, I asked if he is a real person. He did not answer and sales pitch again. If they don't have a real person at that hour, just tell me and tell me to chat in a different hour or says to use other means such as email to contact. What a scam.After getting nowhere in Norton web site, I contact Amazon custom service. He was very nice. However, since the product was purchased 2 years ago, he cannot do anything.I thought Norton key does not expire if you do not activate it. Based on the expiration date, my guess is that when I was trying to activate it in a different country. It said that it is not for the region. However, it still activated it. Just that I cannot use it. Now one year after the date I tried to activate it outside the country, it expired. So, do not activate it outside the country. Lesson learned for me! And also told me how Norton is running their business.

I don't know if there is a good basic anti-virus. This might just be for peace of mind knowing something is there. I get notifications that there are issues that need to be resolved only to find that when I click on it to resolve it that my basic protection doesn't cover it. Norton is all about the money....they're a business.

The most economical way to have Norton coverage for you devices is to buy these annual Key Codes and just enter it when the prior year expires by following the 'I have a code' steps. Allowing Norton's automatic renewals will likely cost you three times as much.
