Interesting movie Wanted more from the ending. Overall a good flick.

Its all about the egg..and mine is scrambled now lol..So i came across this and chose it bc i saw the guy from trickrtreat movie..But what a wild ride.....at moments feels a bit westworldish, others like the quietly desperateEnglish films my mom loved... Love the visual look of it..The ending was a bit flat for me or would get 5 stars..More suspense than horror..Really different.. Twisty..Ill likely buy it eventually for my horror \ suspense collection..🎃🎃🎃🎃

All the clowns who stopped watching have attention deficit, I swear. And the cellphones: Good GRIEF, people, but the bloody thing DOWN for a nanosecond!!I was stunned when what APPEARS to be the climax/point of the movie occurred at about 34m into the flick; annoyed even: So this is what the entire movie is going to be...? This same scene over and over...? Not really, no. So so SO happy I watched farther into it. It's not just another Pandora's Box.It's not easy pulling off all of that with such a small cast. I really enjoyed this movie. The layers were great. Sure, I predicted SOME of it along the way, but that didn't ruin the movie for me. The house alone was a character in the film.Very interesting, and I wonder what the future will be: Repeated by Claire or...? What happens to Elizabeth while Out There...? Hm.

This movie has all the right pieces to make it enjoyable to watch. You will not be sorry you spent 109 minutes watching this movie...Enjoy

A unique rich film that continually surprised me. This was so well done, so much depth, intrigue and well developed characters. I found myself liking all the characters, which is a real trick to pull off. I haven't seen a film that I like this much for a very long time. So many layers are built in, relevant science yet it doesn't overplay the whole genetics and advanced science card. It is elegant and subtle, yet still you find turns and twists that were very unexpected. I felt almost lost in the story all the way up until the end. Great acting, beautiful women, and a simply stunning home. Don't want to give anything away, for it's so rare to find a film that you haven't figured out the plot within the first half hour. This is one of those films.

I love unique, original, strange, creative, interesting movies that take you on a little bit of a ride before you get to the end of the journey. Sure, the title of the story may give some of the plot away, but the wonderful twists and turns made me not care about what I already could guess because the wow moments were pretty good. The acting was awesome. If I would change one thing it would have been to visually show Elizabeth's personal back story so that we all could feel that we knew her as intimately as she thought she knew herself. Then, we would have been just as surprised at the exact moment she discovered the truth in the film. But that little edit doesn't make it any less than 5 stars. It's a very well done, enjoyable movie that held every second of my attention.

I enjoyed it, very entertaining, and felt like art (but not boring heh.)PROs: Fast-paced, great production values, great setting, (that house!), great acting- just the right amount of "lack of affect", well-paced. thought-provoking. mystery, suspense.CONS: I agree with the reviewer that it gets a bit off the rails towards the end (ending still good imo) - just a bit like um... ok, what did that add to the story/plot? But then that was maybe the thought-provoking part too.It's good! Watch!

Excellent script and great acting. I enjoyed the cinematography which really pulled you into the dreamlike state she is in and adds to her sense of confusion. The beautiful Abbey Lee running around nude or in a negligee for basically the entire movie doesn't hurt either.Overall a fun little sci-fi thriller that will keep you engaged until the very last moment.

A meditation on cloning and how degenerate,rich people eventually drown in their own intellectual sewage.

Darauf nimmt Henry (Ciarán Hinds) bezug als er seine Braut Elizabeth (Abbey Lee) über die Schwelle trägt. Das ist auch der Titel eines meiner absoluten Lieblingsgemälde von Pablo Picasso, und auch sonst. Dieses Werk hätte sich auch super in diesem Haus gemacht. Es gibt unter anderem einen Weinkeller, einen bahnförmigen Swimmingpool, einen begehbaren Kleiderschrank, bereits todschick für sie bestückt, und einen Gemäldesaal. Wie ein Herrenhaus aus früheren Tagen, nur in modern mit viel Glas und Beton. In diesem Raum hängen dann sogar noch zwei Bilder eines meiner liebsten Künstler, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, "Weiblicher Akt mit Hut", ich liebe dieses Bild, und "Stehender Akt mit Hut". Ein anderes Gemälde nimmt sich dem Thema "Leda und der Schwan" an, welches in dutzenden Variationen von ebenso vielen Malern in der Kunstgeschichte zu finden ist, diese müsste von François-Édouard Picot stammen. An den Wänden sind noch mehr visuelle Schätze zu entdecken, zwei davon werden in Elizabeth Harvest noch näher ins Bild gerückt, mehr oder weniger offensichtlich.Dazu später mehr.Die frisch getrauten Eheleute werden bei ihrer Ankunft in ihrem Domizil von den beiden Angestellten begrüßt. Die Hausdame Claire (Carla Gugino) und der blinde Gärtner (?) Oliver (Matthew Beard). So scheint es zumindest.Aber natürlich kommt Alles anders.Überrascht jetzt Niemand wirklich. Oder?Nach ein paar Minuten dachte ich mir, was ist das für ein dämlicher Film, ja klar, er sieht blendend aus, aber er hält mich anscheinend für ein bisschen blöde. Mir werden viel zu viele Hinweise gegeben wie sich das alles entwickeln wird. Angefangen mit dem Titel "Elizabeth Ernte", dann die gerahmte Nobelpreisauszeichnung, diese Urkunde wird bildschirmfüllend gezeigt, und natürlich die Türe die nicht geöffnet werden darf.Aber solche Verbote bewirken ja gewöhnlich das Gegenteil. Oder wer wurde nicht sofort neugierig auf Rebeccas Zimmer im Westflügel von Manderley als Mrs. Danvers es quasi zu einem „verbotenen Ort“ erklärte? Die zweite Mrs. de Winter konnte nicht widerstehen. Ich könnte es auch nicht.So viele Tipps, man wird mit der Nase hinein gestoßen.Aber so langsam dämmerte es mir dann, der Film hat mich verarscht, aufs Glatteis geführt, und ich bin ihm auf den Leim gegangen. Teilweise zumindest. Das mag ich!Jetzt hat der Film aber meine volle Aufmerksamkeit. 110%.Die Fragen kommen von selbst. Tun sie immer bei mir.Warum so einen Storch? Wenn ich mir etwas selbst backen könnte, es wäre eine Rockgitarre oder ein Cembalo.Aber hier wurde nicht frei gewählt, die Vorgabe basiert auf einer Vorlage.Wer sind die beiden Angestellten wirklich?Wer ist Elizabeth wirklich?Eigentlich nicht wer sondern wieso, weshalb, warum.Wenn Elizabeth alleine ist, dann streift sie durch das Haus.Sie probiert an und aus.Mit einem Spiegel stellt sie dann eine Szene nach, die sie zuvor auf einem Gemälde gesehen hat. Diese Kussszene mit Spiegel ist so schön, man sollte sie in einem Museum ausstellen, wenn das ginge.Aber noch mehr will ich jetzt nicht verraten.Das der Film optisch wirklich viel zu bieten hat dürfte ich ja schon gesagt haben.Ich glaube zwar das visuell besonders XY-Chromosomträger angesprochen werden, will aber nicht ausschließen das XX-Träger auch ihre Freude daran haben könnten.Abschließend noch:Es gibt Zeiten zu bleiben, und es gibt Zeiten zu gehen.Ein kleines Andenken nimmt man sich da gerne mit. Vielleicht ein leicht frivoles Bild mit Eule?Meine Wahl wäre auf ein anderes Bild gefallen.Aber ich durfte ja wieder nicht wählen.

Nach ca 15 Minuten ist die Grundhandlung erzählt (das hätte man 90 Minuten lang spannend herauszögern können) und der Film driftet ab und wird unglaubwürdig.Keine Empfehlung von mir

Der Film ist einer jener Sorte, bei dem man immer einzuschlafen droht, genau das aber nicht darf, weil man sonst etwas verpasst, was „wichtig“ für‘s Verständnis ist. Schlummert man dennoch weg, muss man sich den Langweiler nochmals reinziehen...Kurz: Alles schon mal da gewesen, meistens besser als hier.

Was haben Zombies mit Klonen gemeinsam: Man kann sie beliebig oft massakrieren! Der Schuss ist relative schnell draussen, danach verhedert sich der Streifen nur noch in Langeweile...
